The best location in the city, great rooms, clean bathroom with hot water, delicious breakfast and a bar at the rooftop that is the perfect spot for making new friends... What else would you want from a hostel?

PERFECT. Clean, comfortable, amazing and comfortable beds, air conditioning, great atmosphere, great breakfast, awesome showers, and perfect location! If time permitted, I would have stayed extra nights just because I loved the hostel so much.

This hostel and its staff are amazing. The hotel we were booking in cancelled our booking and did not contact us at all to let us know why so when we rocked up they had nothing for us. We came to the Bahaus at midnight hoping that they would be able to help us having been in earlier that day...

Found this to be a great hostel, ideally located to the main tourist attractions. Staff are extremely helpful with great recommendations on places to visit and eat. The younger Turkish guy on the front desk also was extremely helpful in giving me an idea of what things actually cost as a lot of places in Istanbul will try and overcharge...

Great little hostel. Staff were absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, Tugi helped us and made us feel so at home. We got ripped off by the cab driver and he came out and argued on our behalf. He helped us with buses and gave us great advice for things to do. He is TRULY lovely! Hostel was great...

This was one of the coolest hostels ive stayed in. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The upstairs terrace was so serene and had some great floor pillows to sit on or tables and chairs, argille, drinks and generally great company. There was a young vibe throughout the hostel and the pub crawl they put on, on a saturday...

This is definitely a hostel for 20-something. It wasn't excessively raucous by any means, but there is a pub crawl on the weekends (so, yes, it caters to a younger crowd). I was very impressed with this hostel, probably because I myself am a young 20-something. The decor is great, and the bathrooms are wonderful. There were only 3 for...

I've stayed in a few hostels in the Istanbul area. If I go back again, I will definitely stay in this one. The staff were super-helpful, the terrace had awesome views and was a good place to relax, the 16 bed dorm room had three really decent bathrooms/showers located in the room and it was quiet. I got really good...

I stayed twice at Bahaus on my way out and back to Antalya. I found the staff friendly and welcoming and I felt particularly well looked after as a woman traveller. The guesthouse/hostel was always clean and there were also staff about to chat, answer any questions and also play live music up in the bar. Food was basic but...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“All the rooms are good. Choose a dorm with a private bathroom for more convenience”
of 5 bubbles wonderkidDelhi, 14 Jan 2015 | Read review
“I stayed in the 14 bed dorm and it was very spacious, with curtains for each bunk bed. There were also 3 full bathrooms with showers just to accommodate the 14 bed dorm, I NEVER waited for a bathroom to be open which I think is incredible with a full dorm. Each bed has it's own reading light and outlet to plug in whatever you need and there are hairdryers in all the bathrooms. There was also a little couch/lounge area within the 14 bed dorm which was cool. Bring your own lock. Everything was clean, hot water all the time and very nice showers. Ask for a room away from the rooftop terrace if you don't want music at night.”
