My niece and I spent five days at Garden House and found the staff to be fabulous, the room nicely sized -- especially to accommodate all our shopping bags. But most of all, we appreciated the air conditioning after spending two hot nights in Cappadocia. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Perfect location near all the historic sights

Hotel Garden House met my every need for a long weekend stay in Istanbul. I found my single room to be affordable, clean, quiet and somewhat spacious. The breakfast room and outside terrace were most welcoming and a calm place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. I will likely stay here again upon my next visit.

As a family of 4, with 2 children aged 7 and 10, we were slightly nervous about traveling to Istanbul for our first time. This hotel made us feel immediately like we were at home. The staff are incredibly helpful, and everyone at the front desk speaks flawless English, which worked well for me. The folks in the restaurant area...

This March, my husband and I spent a wonderful week in Istanbul exploring the city's different neighborhoods, food, history, and atmosphere. The Hotel Garden House is perfectly situated to experience all the city has to offer, and its managers--especially Mr. Selcuk--are gracious guides and hosts, providing tips for restaurants and sights, ideas for gifts, and impromptu language lessons. The hotel...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
