We visited in June 2016, for mine & my son's birthday. It was my second time in Istanbul. This hotel is situated next to the blue mosque so is ideal for sightseeing as most are on your doorstep, walking distance. Our airport transfers were booked by email with Jon, receptionist and was perfect. Staff here are excellent, especially barish and...

We were pleasantly amazed with the hotel. The location is not only good, but excellent. The rooms are obviously elaborated by designers. Everything is in white and lilac tone, very clear and snug. The reseption is interconnected with the dining room where they serve breakfast. I have got to especially mention that although this hotel was not great it was cheap and basic but the real stars are the staff. The two concierge Ingene (probably no spelt right) and Muhammad absolute diamonds. Booked a room for 2 and seen as the room wasn't ready gave us 2 single rooms which was great! Secondly brother dropped...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights altogether. For one night before a tour and two nights after the tour. The first night was in the economical room. Do not stay in these rooms because they are ridiculously small. We asked for a bigger room on our return and the room we were given was almost twice as big...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
