So beautiful hotel !!! Situated in a really centre of great historical place. It takes two minutes to the Blue Mosque from the hotel. Rooms are clean. Persons are responsible. I suggest you to go there !!!

This hotel is easy accessible as it lies right in the centre of Istanbul! We hired a twin room – I was there with my friend for shopping. Most of all by selection of hotel we were interested in a comfortable location for leisure after lasting promenades – i.e. get there fast and have a good sleep. At the evening we...

To start the bathroom cubicle was broken..next day breakfast was served at 8.15 (even though we were promised 7.30 by a grumpy lady.) It was cold and stale.it was the same for all 3 days of our stay...even after we had informed them twice. When we returned the our room was left open and was not even cleaned. Thanks to...

We had booked a 4 bed apartment. In the description it sounded sooooo good and luxury, nearly too good. The apartment should have been vast – 85 sqm, view over the city, a separate sitting room with 102 inch(!) led TV (sounds just too much ok), separate dining room with dining table, rain shower and lots of other good stuff...

Nice budget hotel right near Sultanahmet, Hagia Sofia, Basilica cister - maybe 4-7 minutes of walking. Very nice personel in the hotel, room was rather small but cleand and for that money (round 40 EUR per room for two with breakfast) was really a very good choice. Breakfast was not very rich but was good and more then enough. i...

My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner on a Sunday night. The menu and staff were nice on the outside. We were taken downstairs where things changed... We both ordered soup, a pizza to share and two waters. We are convinced the soup was packet soup. The pizza that came out was literally the size of a saucer, not...

I have reserved the price of $356,40 USD thru hotels.com. They charged me 356 Euro which brings it to $493 USD. It stated the price was guaranteed. The receptionist charged me 8% credit card fee on top of all that because I used credit card. I told them that I already pre paid the reservation and that it cannot be...

I had a long weekend in Istanbul on August and stayed, with other two friends, in this nice hotel. The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes walk from Topkapi and other amazing places. Rooms are almost big and clean and the personnel is always kind and polite. They serve the breakfast on the roof garden with a wonderful view of...

The hotel is conveniently situated for exploring the historical sites, the buffet breakfast is adequate, staff are friendly, manager comes across as grumpy although this could be because of the language barrier! the rooms are filthy, sheets are clean and beds comfortable but bathrooms and rooms are in need of a very good clean

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
