The hotel is located at a very central place close to to Agia Sofia and other monuments. The room was at the last floor, large, with city view and clean. It was also warm, although outside it was very cold. At the breakfast a great variety was offered. The owner was very kind.

This is my 7th or 8th time staying at the Ada Hotel. For me, Ada is no longer a 'hotel' in which I stay -- it's like staying in a luxurious, centrally located place, but with the added benefit of a loving, helpful family. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about this place. If I could give 15 stars,... More

Stayed in Istanbul for three with my family, two other families. Istanbul was amazing and so was this hotel. Dr. Dugan is a very friendly hotel owner who can organise your whole stay in Istanbul ie excursions etc at the best price. We went on a half day tour that Dr. Dugan recommended. We had a fantastic time and received... More

It was the best choice for my parents and me. We stayed there for 3 days. We arrived 5 a.m. when was too much delayed time we expected because of our flight's delaying. But the owner, Dr. Semengen kept waiting for us and welcomed us warmly despite our too much delayed arrival than we informed to him. And our baggage... More

The hotel couldn't be better, my room was clean, tidy and so well decorated with a typical Turkish style, the breakfast in the beautiful terrace was so tasty and full of standard and local dishes. The staff was so nice, helpful and available at any time.

So glad we made this choice. The hosts and staff are so welcoming. All they want their guests to do is have a great experience of Istanbul. Our room overlooked an ancient Bysantine property and tower as well as two renowned mosques. On a quiet street but only a block and 1/2 from the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Sophia. They... More

While all hotels I stayed throughout my Turkey trip are good, Ada hotel is undoubtedly the exceptional. Given a 3-star hotel price, we did not expect the apartment is so classy & modern. Location is very good, walking distance to Sultanahmet attractions. Breakfast is better than that I tasted in my 11-day Turkey travel. The old owner couples are friendly... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
