Dr Dogan welcomed us personally, he was very kind and showed us some brochures and arranged tours for us. We stayed at on of the apartments, BEST HOTEL OF OUR TRIP, beautiful views and the best breakfast ever. If we are back to Istanbul we would totally book Ada Hotel again.

We made reservations here based on Tripadvisor's reviews. It is as represented - very quiet, clean, friendly, and situated in the old city district called Sultanahmet where Topkapi, Aya Sophia, and the Blue Mosque are. Our spacious room has a lovely view with lots of fresh air and a jacuzzi. Before we arrived we emailed our host, Dr. Dogan, questions,... More

Friendliest, most relaxing and well-located hotel I can think of. Room and breakfast with stunning views of the sea and city. The manager and staff went to every possible effort to make the stay perfect, including arranging free airport transfers and bespoke advice on touring the city. Stay here!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
