The Ottoman Hotel Imperial was a great treat. Everything about the hotel from cleanliness, amenities, and comforts, through the personal attention and wonderful food was absolutely fantastic. I was traveling with my two teenagers, and regretfully only had one night to spend in Istanbul. Like...More
I stayed for one night at the Ottoman Imperial, on my way back home from Antalya. I had 3 guests instead of 2, and they waived the extra guest fee- very nice of them. Stayed in one of the triple rooms, which was a little...More
I stayed only for one night and wish it was a longer stay. You can't beat the location, food, cleaniness, but what come first is customer service. Very helpful and friendly staff, they make you feel at home. After I checked out and was waiting,...More

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is unbeatable --walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque -- and the staff will bend over backwards to help you -- from translating to cab drivers to making dinner reservations. Our room was gorgeous....More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

I actually walked from Taksim sq back to the hotel one day, just for fun. Using offline maps and a compass it took me about an hour and a half, but should be a bit less if you don't wander too much. The public transit system is more than adequate so this shouldn't be a problem. Also the hotel is close to alot of the main attractions (the grand bazar in particular) so it's a better trade off than if you went for a hotel closer to the square
