I didn't stay in the hotel. I just used the Turkish bath. It has a dry and wet sauna, a jaccuzi, a frigidarium, and whatever you call the section where you are peeled, soaped, and bathed. There is also the option to have an oil massage. I was told that it would take an hour and a half for "the...

The Hotel is quite good, the room is little bit small, but the location is perfect, you're in the middle of the town, everything around you, Mr.Farahat was helpful and so kind, you can trust him as a friend, this is the most important for you as a tourist.

We stayed here for 2 nights and then swiftly canceled the rest of our stay and went to a hotel across the street. The bathroom was very dirty with public hair in the toilette, the bed sheets were not clean, one guest's minibar exploded the night before, the breakfast made you cringe, bad smells, rooms are very small. I would...

I never usually do reviews, but in this case I want to save anyone in the future from making the same mistake as we did. We were under the impression that this hotel was three star, perfect for just a few days, just for a nice place to sleep and have breakfast. This morning EVERY guest in the hotel had...

Well, it was a bit of an interesting start to our holiday as we walked in and they informed us that they'd not got space until the following morning, despite the phone call the previous day to check. We didn't have a choice but to agree to staying a night in their sister hotel across the road. Apparently this was...

Please take note of all the terrible reviews for this hotel! Mould, mould, mould everywhere in my room and bathroom. Shower door broken and the mirror hanging on by a thread. Noise from the street below was 24/7 and in the hotel itself. Forget about the option of paying by credit card - the machine was not working and it...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
