I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and I had a corner suite. Very good bed, clean bathroom, big great windows and very good breakfast. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, really excellent! I felt very welcome. They do everything for you to enjoy. The hotel is in one of Istanbul's best locations, walking distance to most...

My fiance and I enjoyed a nice 5 day stay at Amisos hotel. Room is small but that's basically same everywhere. Very clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice decorations and i really liked the big window. Staff is excellent Alper and Elhan were more than helpful with everything. The pub outside is great for unwinding in the afternoon. Definitely recommended.

I had a family reunion in Istanbul for one month. Literally there are 3 nice hard working lady running the hotel. They do their best to meet the requirement of all guests especially the manager Ms.Tula and the housekeeping manager Ms. Mahtab. The receptionist was nice too. I read other reviews complaining about the Breakfast. We were 4 and our...

Rooms are clean but extremely small, wallpaper is flaking, air conditiioning doesn't work in may so we had to sleep with open windows and it was pretty noisy from the street below. The location is good (just in the "Gulhane" tram station) and there are a lot of restaurants around. There are 2 or 3 parking places just in front...

Stayed 4 nights in Amisos hotel and would have no problem going back there. Major plus for me was the location - tram stop Gulhane is very close and although we had a room facing the street there was no problem with noise. Breakfast on the 4 th floor was typical Turkish - plenty of cheese yogurt and honey.

If you can get a good price for this hotel I would recommend it. I did so by walking into the hotel to ask for the price. I was there February/March/April and they offered me a good price. I would also suggest inquiring via email. The price on their website and on booking.com is too much. Hotel prices go up(alot)...

We have enjoyed four pleasant days in Amisos hotel which is very conveniently located to explore the historical sights of Istanbul. The hotel management and staff were very helpful to make our stay memorable and provided great assistance with booking restaurants, traffic arrangements etc. The rooms are cosy and give you a true Istanbul experience.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
