Nestled in the old town, the Amiral Palace Hotel garners praise for its diverse breakfast options and well-kept spa, not to mention the stunning views it offers. While the coziness, cleanliness, and elegance of the rooms are celebrated, some guests note their compact size and potential for noise. The hotel's location is a hit for being within easy reach of major attractions, though it comes with occasional noise concerns. Reviewers applaud the attentive staff and the overall value, despite certain services being a tad pricey.

The hotel is in a very busy tourist area within a few yards of a street filled with restaurants and bars and conveniently located within a few minutes’ walk of Ayasofya. However the hotel itself is very quiet – our room overlooked a side street with little traffic and was well sound-proofed with little noise audible from outside or elsewhere in the hotel. We were glad that we opted for a de luxe corner category room, which was of adequate size, but less expensive rooms may be on the small side – see earlier reviews. Breakfast was good and the restaurant has an excellent view over the Bosphorus. The staff (on reception and at breakfast) was very helpful and efficient, especially Orhan on the front desk. The swimming pool was nice, but seating is limited and the pool surround is very slippery.

We stayed for four nights during a city break, in this excellent hotel.

The big positive was the friendly, efficient and helpful staff - really welcoming but not in a fussy way.

Breakfast was served in a nice dining area with commanding views of the Bosphorus. The spread of food was superb, ranging from fruits, breads, puddings and yoghurts to salads, pastes, vegetables, soup and cooked dishes. Freshly cooked omelettes could also be ordered and coffee, from the machine, was of high quality. With this range of dishes, we would have liked to see things labelled to help vegetarians and those with food allergies.

Our room - on the 4th floor - was nicely finished with a comfortable bed, plenty of toiletries and sewing kit etc, a small seating area and a really good rainfall shower. We experienced minimal problems with noise but the room did feel a little cramped.

Wifi was poor in the room but good in the comfortable reception downstairs where we were served complimentary tea and coffee. The swimming pool was warm and well-maintained.

The location was perfect for attractions such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque and there's lots of bars and restaurants very close by.

We really enjoyed our stay here and thank the staff for making it so.

I am writing a review as an employee of the tourism business. The hotel is located very conveniently, 5 minutes and you are on the square, 5 minutes in the other direction and you are on the embankment. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are too small for me (I looked at the rooms of all categories for work, the corner and the corner are excellent, the rest are cramped for me). breakfasts are very good for Istanbul. Of course, in this location there are restaurants with Moscow prices, but if you walk around the streets you can find many good and inexpensive ones. If you want value for money + cleanliness, I recommend it

I stayed at the Amiral for a few days. Everything was just right there. The airport transfer was on time, the staff very nice. The rooms are nice and functional. The chambermaid came during breakfast. There are also nice little details: a retractable television, a rain shower and an electronically controlled do not disturb sign. But the best thing is the location. You can walk to Hagia Sophia and other sights in just a few minutes, but it is still quiet at night. Absolutely recommended.

Nice location in the heart of the old town, close to the Market and Topkapi palace. Breakfast is very good, with a large selection of sweet and salted items and a very nice view. The room was confortable, though rather small for a Deluxe room, with an efficient shower. However, the lack of large windows and the first floor location make it a dark and noisy room because of the people strolling around until late right in front of the small windows that need to remain closed.

The hotel had a small room, but clean, big shower, toothbrush, slippers, water, nice little sweets upon arrival. The location is perfect (5mn walk from Holy Sophy, Blue Mosquee and Topkapi Palace). Nice staff. The private airport transfer is really useful (EUR 110.- in & out), small bus with complimentary wifi! Nice breakfast, really nice restaurant in the evening with a rooftop view on the sea.

I stayed at this property with my family and multiple age children in June 2023. I have stayed in some of the top luxury brands in my travels and I am absolutely amazed by the service standards in this boutique hotel tucked away in a corner of a very busy tourist district. The rooms are beautiful and the service outstanding. The hotel staff are very attentive - from my pre-arrival communications, to a smooth and warm welcome at check in and outstanding service during our stay itself. We felt relaxed and pampered. We stayed in the executive suite, which had a separate living area with sofa bed and fits an additional extra bed. The attention to detail in the room design and finishings was something I appreciated. There is a luxury feel that matches the likes of Mandarin Oriental and the Ritz. Absolutely stunning. The view of the Bosporus was also such a treat to wake up to every morning, and to watch the sea gulls. We also made a request to change our breakfast (included in the rate) to dinner as we were fasting for Arafah and they obliged easily. Keep up the hard work and thanks for always making us smile during our stay - Teşekkürler!

P.S. For Muslim guests, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are 8min walk away but there is a small masjid just down the street called Ishakpasa Camii if you don’t feel up to the uphill trek. Rumist cafe is also one option that does not serve alcohol.

This place was a lifesaver for us after we were turned away from a pre-booked hotel at 9 PM on arrival from the airport! We arrived very late and tired with a sleeping 4 year old and were met with smiles and wonderfully accommodating staff.

Because of what was a very last minute booking we did end up with a twin room (2 single beds) for 2 adults and a child - so this wasn't ideal. The room was very small particularly for the price and so we probably would have been very disappointed if it weren't for the circumstances. I believe other rooms are bigger however and all in all it was a very comfortable room apart from the size.

Breakfast was fantastic and served on the roof top terrace. Typical Turkish buffet breakfast with a few different hot food options each day. This could be a little hit and miss although 2 out of the 3 days we were there were fantastic.

Other than that the location is absolutely fantastic and right in the heart of Sultanahmet. Restaurants a stones throw away but still a very quiet spot. Also minutes walk to the main tourist attractions ie The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Basilica Cistern amongst others.

Thank you Amiral Palace Hotel for making what could have been a disaster few days in Istanbul a highlight!

I can’t express enough gratitude to the team at Amiral Palace Hotel Boutique Class for the incredible care they provided for my family. My parents, who don’t speak English, were welcomed with open arms and treated like royalty from the moment they arrived. My mother, who had left her wheelchair back in Algeria and was struggling with a broken leg, was in a tough situation—but the hotel staff went above and beyond in every possible way to make her feel at home and comfortable.

Osman was the star of our experience. He was in constant communication with me, even FaceTiming to arrange everything for my mom. He must have gone to my parents’ room over 2,000 times to check on her and see if she needed anything. He showed her around, suggested places nearby that were accessible, and made sure every aspect of her stay was perfect. I can’t thank Osman enough for his patience, warmth, and dedication. If you stay here, you are truly in good hands.

And a special mention to Uğur, who went above and beyond with a bright, welcoming smile every single day. He made my family feel like they were part of the hotel family, always ensuring they were comfortable and well taken care of.

I was still in Africa, and yet I felt completely at peace knowing the entire team at Amiral Palace was looking after my parents. The hotel itself is superb—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and ideally located for anyone with mobility challenges. My mom couldn’t walk far, but everything she needed was right there. And the food—absolutely delicious!

Thank you, Amiral Palace, Osman, Uğur, and the entire team. You made a difficult situation so much easier, and I’ll forever be grateful for your kindness and professionalism. This is more than a hotel; it’s a place that cares deeply for its guests.

A warm welcome awaited us on our arrival, quite late at night. Very pleased with the location of this hotel (in the old town) and the staff were very keen to show us a local map and how we could walk to the Mosques and other attractions. The rooms were comfortable. Breakfasts were superb, nothing was too much trouble and the view from the roof top was stunning.
If we ever go back to Istanbul, we would definitely stay here again.
