The most horrible hotel in the world , so dirty, no windows in room, the toilet is tiny and very dirty. The sheet was dirty from anothers people. O my god! What was that! Stay far far away. Maybe this is cheap but then you have to go for medical exams.

I booked Artemis old city hotel in Istanbul through Cheapoair. After arriving was shocked to find out that the hotel is a complete sh..t hole, the room is a dungeon softly put. The information when booking through the website was that the hotel is ‘very good”?! The room is: Completely lacking natural light as facing an outer almost attached wall.... More

Precondition: I travel a lot. I went in many hostels/hotels/camping and usually I never complain. This hotel is very bad. It stinks, too many things are broken (doors, lights, armchair, all and I repeat ALL remote controls...and many others), it is noisy. Breakfast is poor and also what is present is of bad quality. To conclude: they never cleaned my... More

The only good thing in this hotel is the location. Do not expect any service from this hotel, rooms are extremely small, they did not clean the room during our stay, not enough light in the room only one wall light lamp is working, no sound proofing we can hear all sounds from any room even from other floor . I was in charge of the hotel booking and I decided to book the cheapest place possible so we could have more money to spend on our trip which was the reason we ended up in eve house. I started to read reviews and was horrified we started trying to phone and get a refund. They refused and we just... More

Quite OK for the price. Very good location - within a 5-minute walking distance from the biggest historical attractions, shops and restaurants. Nevertheless, not perfectly clean... Nice breakfast and a great view of the Blue Mosque from the dining room. Not bad for a short stay.

the hotel and room are really small, appliances didn't work so well (shower) or not at all (fridge), the cleaning wasn't done, the walls let a lot of noise through and breakfast wasn't that rich to be honest. On the other hand, the hotel is cheap, the staff is really friendly and most importantly, the location is great. The hotel... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
