Great location. Ok rooms. Air-conditioning system not right - individual rooms temperature controlled through central intervention is funny. Sewage system not perfect in the room WC areas. Rooms lack an outside view, even with a balcony terrace. V courteous and helpful staff. Super live music evenings post 11 pm. V good well lighted gym area. Amazing around hotel areas for...

Dear Piyush, Many thanks for reviewing W Istanbul. Your feedback helps us take necessary measures and constantly evolve our 24/7 Whatever/Whenever service. The historical building is equipped with rooms facing either the Bosphorus through the design-driven Akaretler Neighbourhood or the calm, peaceful outdoor environment; the W Secret Garden and the signature Cabanas. Stayed here for 3 nights and this is a good location. Yes W treats me well with an upgrade, the room is clean and modern, so modern that you have to call the room service for A/C temp adjustment. The neighbourhood is great; amply of food options and a supermarket nearby. Cafe beside is good for breakfast and can still...

I had the pleasure of staying 3 nights in this hotel during the World Tourism Forum. Friendly staff and amazing hotel facilities, my room was amazing, comfortable and with all necessary 5 star amenities. Located in a very fancy part of Istanbul this is a great luxurious option while in the city.

Dear W Guest, Thank you for staying at W Istanbul for your short visit. It's good to see you were satisfied with your stay. W Istanbul is truly a blend of the modern and traditional. Even from the location, one can observe the old city (Sultanahmet, Taksim) and the newly developed quarters (Nişantaşı, Beşiktaş). I'm also glad you liked your...

It was not just a fancy hotel but had an artistic and very unusual designed atmosphere. Rooms were like I've never seen before and hotel stuff in general was really helpful and kind. Even thou everything was nice and "kinky" still I found it a bit pricey. If you don't have a problem with it, then it's a great choice...

Dear Gökhan, Many thanks for choosing W Istanbul for your stay and giving us the feedback. Your opinion is extremely valuable to us. The design of this beautiful property is quite interesting. The building itself served as an extension to the well-known Dolmabahçe Palace and served as the living quarters of the top dynasties of the Sultan's court. For the...

This was my second stay at the W- Istanbul in less than a month. This boutique hotel has a cozy feel to it, but what made my stay exceptionally pleasant was the warm and genuine service extended by the hotel's staff from the time that Hussein the receptionist checked me in until I was seen off by Turgay, the always...

The shower and bathroom were amazing,...

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
