Since 1991 a popular place with travelers, run by Dervis with the help of his mother (she cooks great meals) and his sister Shaziye . The roof terrace gives a splendid 360" view over the old part of Selcuk town, with many antique sites a stone's throw away. Guest rooms are divided over 2 buildings (across the street) and are uniquely decorated with local antiques. Most rooms have en-suite bathroom and aircon. we organise transportation to Ephesus, free use of internet (wireless), bicycle available to use. we have one of most beautiful panoramic view and unforgetable sunset , Every evening before dinner wine is served on the roof terrace to make the beautiful sunset even more enjoyable.

Very comfortable and reasonably-priced pension with delicious breakfast served in a quirky and unique setting which adds to the fun of being in Selcuk and Ephesus. Dervis and his sister Saziye were most helpful when I needed laundry washed and getting a ride to Izmir airport. This is my 3rd stay at Homeros and I look forward to my next stay there!

10/10. The people who run it are really friendly, the decoration is out of a film and the breakfast was simply amazing. The roof top terrace has great views and it’s really good value for money. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city

Had a delightful stay here for a few nights. The hosts are really sweet and welcoming, the rooms feel very homely, and the roof terrace is a really nice place to chill out and watch the sunset over the hills. It's tucked away on a quiet little street so there's no traffic noise, and it's very close to walk to St John's Basilica, the town centre and the train station.

My wife and I stayed here as part of a trip to Turkey in August/September 2023.

Ok, I really like this place! The vibe and the ambiance of the hotel are amazing and make you feel like you have been transported to another world, which isn't that the point of travelling?

The location is pretty good, close to the train station and to downtown Selcuk where all of the restaurants are, and also quite close to the Ephesus museum and the main road to Ephesus. The staff were friendly and the free breakfast was delicious and VERY authentic.

No where is perfect though, and I do have some suggestions:
1) Accept credit card payments, at least for the room. It was quite alarming to arrive at the hotel and find out that I had to pay for the whole thing in cash. It nearly wiped out our Turkish cash reserves. It would be much easier if the accepted credit card, at least for the payment of the room.
2) Give complimentary bottles of water to your guests when they arrive. This is more of a gripe I have with Turkish hotels in general, rather than this one specifically, but normally when I stay in a place where the tap water isn't safe to drink, the hotel will give us complimentary bottles of water on arrival, but hotels in Turkey did not seem to do that. Come on, the bottles are not that expensive and its like 35C outside, I need a drink after a long journey!

Overall though, my wife and I loved this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Saziye was a very kind host to our party of 3 adults and a toddler. Quiet rooms and within walking distance of all the historic sights in Selcuk and several fun restaurants. Staff’s welcoming hospitality and accommodating energy (especially with an active little toddler) made this place a safe home base between travel activities.

Hands down my favourite place to stay during my recent trip around Turkey. And incredible value for money, had my own (albeit cozy) little room on the second floor. Shaziye was an outstanding host during my stay and provided the most delicious breakfast and coffee each morning. An absolute must stay for this little village and very handy to get to Ephuses ( you CAN walk. There will just take you a good hour or so, take water!).

A very exotic place in central Selcuk. Daughter and mother took really good care of me. I was treated like a prince. Everything was fine and a great breakfast too. The patio At the top gives you a great perspective of the région. Thank you !

I loved this little place. My daughter and I arrived in Selcuk from Kusadasi on the Dolmus. We just got dropped off with no plans on where to stay. I google mapped hotels in the area. This one popped up, so we just walked up to it. The lady here is so sweet. She just walks us to our room, and I just fell in love with it!! Really great energy, comfortable. So close to everything. Bus station, St. John's and the castle, museum. All within 5 min. Walk. And about 10 min you get to all the main restaurants. There are a few little places to eat right there as well.
Found a cute little coffee shop 2 min. Away! It cost us 500TL. For the night, and that included an awesome Turkish breakfast for us both the next morning! Will definitely come back!!

Hyperauthentic, tranquil and cosy place to stay, in walking distance of main attractions. Rich breakfast with homemade jams. There is no TV in rooms. Strong free wi-fi. Friendly and easygoing staff. There is a space for a car to park.
