The Orient Hotel by Isrotel Exclusive garners high marks for its spacious and stylish rooms, although some guests have mentioned noise disturbances and additional costs. Its array of amenities, including a praised rooftop pool and full-service spa, along with a commendable level of cleanliness, contribute to the hotel's luxury feel. While the service is generally recognized for its professionalism, there have been occasional reports of slowness. Despite the prime location and historic atmosphere, some travelers question the value due to unexpected expenses.

We had a wonderful stay at the Orient in Jerusalem and strongly recommend the hotel and area. From the moment we checked in everyone at the hotel was helpful and welcoming.
We reserved a garden room which had a small outdoor seating area. While end of November was a little chilly to sit outside long, we were able to open the doors to the outside. It would certainly be nice in the summer.
The room was cleaned daily with an extra check in the evening to see if we needed extra towels, etc. Note: We learned to put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door until we were ready if we wanted to sleep late. Cleaning starts early!
The bathroom was large with both deep bath and walk in shower.
The area is lovely. Lot of coffee shops, restaurants, gift shops, as well as a pharmacy and two grocery stores. The room had a small refrigerator, so we bought yogurt and fruit.
We did not buy the hotel breakfast, but another resident told me it was very good.
My favorite coffee shop was Le Moulin Doré along the road at 44 Emek Refa'im St. They make fresh pastries in the morning as well as great coffee.
We used taxis to get around. The hotel is about a mile from the Old City and other landmarks including the First Station and the Windmill. The hotel concierge had the Gett app and organized the taxis for us. We always asked the taxi to use the meter, in most cases it was cheaper than the driver's suggested flat rate.

Dear ag82432016, Thank you for your detailed review. We are delighted to know you enjoyed your stay at the Orient and found it to be a great value. I'm glad our team was welcoming and helpful from the moment you arrived. The garden room with the outdoor seating sounds lovely, and it's nice to hear it added to your experience despite the chilly November. Our housekeeping team takes pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment, and it's great you found the daily cleaning satisfactory. Thank you for mentioning the Do Not Disturb tip, it's certainly helpful for future guests. The bathroom amenities and local area with its coffee shops and stores seem to have contributed to your overall enjoyment. Le Moulin Doré sounds like a delightful find for fresh pastries and coffee. I'm pleased our concierge could assist with your transport, helping you explore Jerusalem efficiently. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another wonderful stay. Regards, Dorin.

A very solid 5 star hotel with a great soft and superb hard products. From checkin to checkout we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay enjoying all the facilities the hotel had to offer; their indoor pool and sauna were great places to chill after a long day out on foot, the business lounge accessible through Suite room bookings on the 8th floor was a surprise at what was on offer, the staff at the front desk were always available for any requests we had and the gym was functional. The breakfast buffet was absolutely superlative with every wish met from smoothies to pancakes to vegan and local delicacies. Our suite 344 was outside the main hotel building and had the most comfortable bed with luxurious linens; cleaning was impeccable and the mini bar was sufficient. The hotel was easily accessible by taxi/Uber from TLV airport with a speedy 1 hour drive. They require a 500 NIS deposit per night and a welcome drink was offered. The location was an easy 30 minute walk to all main tourist spots and a bus stop was just outside the front door. Room service was standard and prompt. The hotel has really invested in all the right areas to make everyone feel welcome. Highly recommended and would return.

Positives: the hotel is attractive, in a good location and clean. The food is very good, plentiful with a lot of choice. The staff is friendly and, mostly, efficient.
If you care about “being green,” this is not the place—I kept thinking of the carbon footprint! The lights never fully go off if you are in the room and the towels are washed and replaced every day. There is no way to have a completely dark room- even at night as there is a “Night” setting which lights up the floor and ceiling with low light. Additionally, there is a large “cloudy,” translucent window between the bedroom and bathroom so if the bathroom light is left on at night, the light comes in through the window into the room.
The hotel is not very friendly to Sabbath observers. Among other things, and the most annoying thing, is that there is a computerized system involved in keeping lights on for the Sabbath so as not to trigger the sensor system. Lots of workers were in and out of our room to get the lights right. Despite lots of reassurance, the lights did not function as they were supposed to on either Shabbat and we were, literally, left in the dark. Shabbat dinner was very expensive and not well organized.
Not a big deal but annoying: One of our rooms had no clock; the attendant assured us she would request one; it never came. There was no brewed decaf coffee – only instant. We were unable to change money on three different occasions- they did not have shekels.

The Orient is a perfectly fine five star hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with a lovely walk in shower and a bath. The staff are helpful and charming and special shout out must go to Omri who was amazing.
We ate one day in the milk restaurant downstairs and had a delicious cheese board and salad washed down with a great bottle of wine BUT the hotel misses the opportunity to make a good stay into an outstanding one by the lack of attention to small details.
The bathroom had no face wash cloths or those little packages with Qtips and cotton wool pads inside. A dirty glass was left in our bedroom for two days , pyjama’s were left in a crumpled pile on the side table ,the waste bin wasn’t emptied and there was no bed turning down service
The breakfast was adequate but nothing special and the waiting staff were poorly trained. We sat with our dirty plates on the table and were asked if we’d like an omelette at the end of our meal !!
We ate another night in the restaurant upstairs with its fabulous view over the old city. We weren’t very hungry so we shared a couple of starters. My husband had crackers and dips. Beautiful and unusual crackers served with four different dips. All the dips were industrially produced and , other than the colour, it was impossible to know which was which. I had chicken wings which neither looked or tasted like any chicken that Ive ever had and all covered with an unappealing sauce.
As I said, the hotel has nothing that would have me complaining about but also nothing to make it outstanding or make me feel like I want to revisit

We booked a family room for 4 and got 2 standard yet very spacious rooms with a connecting door. For us it was a perfect solution! Beds are super comfy, bathrooms are equipped with warmed floor, bath tubs and rain showers, espresso machines with nice supply of capsules and more. Additional noticeable things:
- Breakfast is the best Israeli buffet we ever had
- Wi-fi is stable all across the hotel
- Spa maybe not perfect (for example - jacuzzi is missing) but definitely does the job
- Parking costs additional 60 shekel and not always available

Last but not the least: location. The "first station" with plenty of restaurants is across the road, the "Yemin Moshe" historical quarter is a few mins walking away. All the rest requires transportation.

Dear Shuriki, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience during your stay in Jerusalem. I'm delighted to read that the arrangement of two connecting spacious rooms worked perfectly for your family. It’s great to know that you found the beds comfortable and appreciated the amenities like the heated bathroom floors, bath tubs, rain showers, and espresso machines. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the Israeli buffet breakfast, which you described as the best you’ve ever had, and that the WiFi met your needs throughout the hotel. While there seems to be room for improvement in the spa, I’m glad it met your expectations overall. I understand the inconvenience regarding parking availability and costs, but I'm pleased to read that the hotel's location near attractions like the First Station and Yemin Moshe enhanced your stay. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back for another perfect stay in Jerusalem. Regards, Dorin.

The orient is by far the best five star hotel in Jerusalem. We have stayed at all the five star hotels and it is the best one by far! We have visited Israel a few times this year and each time we enjoyed our stay immensely! The food is delicious. Breaksfast buffet is lavish, service in the dining room is impeccable. Shabbos meals are the best in all of jerusalem! A special shout out to Hamza who is kind, helpful and extremely respectful. We came with my elderly mom and he treated her with kindness, rolling out the red carpet every time we walked into dining room. Dining-room is kid friendly too. We did multigenerational trip small and older kids and was everyone was patient!Check in was quick and efficient always someone there to help with a smile! The Conceirge is amazing. Special shout out to Gilad and really everyone. On every trip they addressed us by name. How often does staff remember you by name? Honestly, how often do you see the same people working in a hotel? Staff is the same and that consistency offers guests a high level of comfort! Makes you feel like you are home and part of a family! Housekeeping is on top of details. Requests for extra towels ice buckets are fulfilled within a couple of minutes. Every one is service oriented and managers are out on the floor all the time. I want to acknowledge the PR manager Sheley Schlaifer. She is top notch. Always around the hotel engaging with the guests. She loves to hear feedback and actually listens! Isrotel you are very fortunate to have her and honestly all the staff that work here!
Is this our new go to place in Jerusalem!!!!

The Orient is a luxury hotel with excellent service overall. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The beds are fitted with luxury bedding and were extremely comfortable. There is a spa in the hotel but I did not have time to visit it.

The breakfast that the hotel serves is plentiful and delicious. I found that there were not enough salad options at the Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch meals. My son has allergies and Shlomo, one of the chefs, took us through the entire buffet on Friday night and showed us which foods were safe for my son to eat.

There is a parking lot below the hotel but after parking my car I found out that it is not an "in and out" parking lot and that one has to pay each time they take their car out. The parking lot apparently has no connection to the hotel.

There is a rooftop view with a spectacular view of Jerusalem. Unfortunately, there was not enough lounges to sit on at the pool and I had to sit on a hammock chair, which is not so comfortable. When I tried to go to the pool at about 7:30 PM to show my son the view of Jerusalem, we were told by workers who were swimming in the pool that we were not allowed to be there. This was disappointing since it was our last evening in Jerusalem and I wanted to share the beauty of the Jerusalem sunset with my son. I spoke to a manager who stated that these were the rules and they had to be followed.

The irony was that the following night we were at a hotel in Athens that also had a rooftop pool with an incredible view of the Parthenon. Guests were allowed to sit there late into the night to admire the view.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel with a few, mostly fixable, flaws. I would definitely stay there again but I hope that some of the policies change so that the guests can maximally enjoy the hotel.

We spent five nights in the immaculate Orient Hotel. Beyond one of the most gorgeous and modern decor hotel lobbies, the guest rooms were beautifully appointed and spacious, including the large bathroom, with many delicious chocolate treats left in the room for an evening snack. While I was initially uncertain of the hotel’s location, it turned out it was within an easy 5 to 10 minute walking distance to a variety of restaurants, including a charming old train station area with a hip vibe and lots of eclectic restaurants and outdoor music — and about a 25 minute walk to shopping along Ben Yehuda and the Old City.

The gym was a tad small for a hotel Of it’s size, yet I did not have to wait to use any equipment and it was kept very clean. The breakfast buffet was one of the most expansive and servers were always smiling when greeting and serving you. Loved my made-to- order omlettes and pizza every morning as I am a creature of habit when I enjoy something. Be sure to check out the rooftop bar and pool when you go.

Truly a pleasant experience at the Orient.
