I stayed her for 2 nights over Christmas. The check-in was quick & easy. The Room was fairly big, with a good sized comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size (shower over bath) with the toilet being separate.
The breakfasts were HUGE, with many different fresh fruits, pickles etc, many different cerials, a chef cooking great omelettes, freshly baked pastries & even fresh pizza-type breads prepared & baked in the small pizza oven inside the very large dining room. The barrista-made coffee was great too. For dinners there was also great variety of classic Israeli & Middle Eastern fare. Hot, heavy & harty :)
Overall, it was a good stay, with no issues, especially with the food.

Just arrived in the Holy land. I can hardly wait to experience the place and sights my Saviour experienced. The food so far is good. The hotel was very helpful in accommodating all our needs even those outside of their daily requests.

We had a 3-night stay here while touring Jerusalem. The hotel was clean and modern. Though they were full, their service in areas such as restrooms and in dining was stellar. We were with a large group, and they were always ready for us, on time, for breakfasts and dinners. Variety of breakfast foods was on par with other hotels during our Middle East trip, and dinners had even more variety. Fresh vegetables and fruits were plentiful as was an assortment of fresh baked breads. Delightful!! We’d definitely consider staying there again.

This hotel is rated 4 stars everywhere. But the level of cleaning and the attitude of the staff at the reception, greatly reduces the level of this hotel.
The only pluse of this hotel:located near the tram stop, stops 2-3 to the Old Town. Trams run frequently, excluding Friday evening and all Saturday afternoon.
The room is not small, comfortable. The pool is open, not big inside the hotel yard.
Internet/wi fi - very bad, with constant interruptions, surprisingly slow.
Those who stay at this hotel for work should also count on a different kind of internet/wi fi .
Those who like to watch TV in their free time cannot count on a variety of channels. It happens that today the channel works, tomorrow it is disconnected.
The TV menu is in Arabic. Unfortunately, any request to the reception is ignored. This hotel has potential, but according to its current appearance - the price is too high, and the level of service, attitude towards the client and cleaning are understated.
The floors are dirty, dirt and dust are visible in the corners.
The bed in the room is almost comfortable, if it were not for 2 single beds connected together. As they explained to me, this is very important for guests, religious Jews: a married couple even sleeps separately, but in the same room. Sleeping on such a bed is not very comfortable.
Bed linen and towels: some of them were already stained, poorly washed.

Bad experience at this hotel. From the beginning, with the check in process you understand where you are. I guess if there was an award for the most inefficient check in they could definitely win it. Then the elevators … 4 elevators dated probably 30 years or so and you need to wait each time you need it, between 10-15 min … if you don’t decide to take the stairs in the middle. Then the pool … nice picture in the website, booking, …. You need to see it!! Small round pool surrounded by tens of plastic chairs and beds most of them broken …. Then the room … I would hardly find the words to define the design of the room, the quality of the bathroom, and the old blue carpet on the floor … Then breakfast … another big experience: If you want a cappuccino you need to wait 20’ in line, the noise is impossible to describe and food is far below any decent level. Bottom line, I warming advise to find an another place to stay in Jérusalem.

I am traveling from the US on a Globus tour of Israel. As a person who has traveled often, with many hotels to compare the Leonardo to, I am shocked at some of the high ratings.

The hotel is extremely large, containing 398 rooms, which usually equals about double the people, and I expect all rooms were filled when our tour stayed there in November. The rooms are small which I don't have a problem with, but the rooms are not very modern and give the appearance of an aged building. The toilet did not flush the toilet paper on the first or second try, but if you were persistent you could get the flush to work. Not worth a 4 star rating compared to other hotels in Israel.

Breakfast and dinner was both a challenge and a disappointment. My partner and I are both vegetarian, not eating meat, fish or eggs. For breakfast our choices were potatoes (hot item), yogurt and bread, while all other guests had many hot dishes that contained egg in addition to other items we do not eat.

Dinner was about the same but due to items being Kosher, dairy was eliminated while meat was present leaving our hot options to be potatoes and most times string beans. Other guests had many meat, chicken and fish items to choose from, we did not.

Even though there were waiters moving about, food service is not a priority at this hotel and carafes of water were never refilled even after asking multiple times. Waiters were rude and demanding, as if we as guests were in the wrong for eating at the restaurant and asking for coffee or water or spoons. Small spoons were not present at breakfast for yogurt, hard to eat with a large soup spoon. Again, customer service is lacking. Thinking too many people for the hotel to service appropriately.
Overall, I think the Leonardo is a 2 star hotel.

Me and my spouse came to celebrate his birthday and we declared in advance that we come to celebrate ,but even a note of happy birthday we didn't get in to the room .
Receptionist was not welcoming at all ,almost no communication during check in ,not a smile or welcome note to the guests .
We got the room on the 5th floor near the elevator ,very noisy location .
The room is small and the sheets were not clean .
Air condition and hair drier didn't work .
Reception haven't responded when we called and stayed on line for more then 15 min .
The next morning when we went to have a breakfast ,it was a disaster what we saw there .
I couldn't even find a clean cup to make myself a coffee .
The food was not tasty and they did make omelet in the middle of the dining room with no ventilation in the ceiling and it felt like a barbeque party

The rooms & decor are really tired, scuffed & in need of repair/redecoration.
I stayed for 5 nights as part of a group tour & my sheets weren't changed once - and not because I chose some green option.
Reception rarely answers the phone so queries or even room service are a joke.
I was ill for a few days so had to constantly get dressed and go down to reception in person for anything I needed or to ask any questions in person.
I arrived around 9:20pm the first night and wanted to order a snack to my room and was told it was too late as the kitchen was closed and I should download the Wolt app, set up an account and order from them to be delivered to the hotel!!!
I tried to book a spa treatment at the reception. They told me to go down in person as the Spa didn't answer the phone. I went down as instructed into the garage area and eventually found the spa behind an industrial looking services door, went in to find no-one there and the place looking like every treatment room had been used without being cleaned afterwards and simply abandoned by the staff so I rethought my intention and booked a spa elsewhere.
Staff are generally quite indifferent.
Would not recommend.

The room's air-condition wasnt powerful enough to cool the room. The twin bed is medium size, not wide enough. The foldable sofa did not open properly and we found ourselves at 1:00am looking
for another sofa and/or mattress in the housekeeping room.

The breakfast was below medium. Many items weren't tasty at all, the tables were dirty despite the hard work of the waitress.

The -2 floor had a terrible smell of dirty toilets

Overall our experience was between medium and poor

A big hotel with a small parking lot, that cost more than $25 per day. Small room , small bed. The room has a fridge and a safe box and a TV. The bathroom and the toilet are in separate rooms. I rated it 2 out of 5 but it was even worse! I ordered the room mentioning that we’re celebrating a birthday and wanted to pay for a surprise. The receptionist said it’s a service they provide with no charge. Apparently you need to be a club member so we got nothing. The toilet flashing was broken and difficult to use. The bath tub water mixer was broken. We barely (but successfully) could change the water stream from down to the tube. The spaces between the bath tiles was moldy!! The toilet seat and the sink was not clean!! The hotel is poorly maintained. The windows are not well seated so we had noises all through the night (7th floor). Breakfast is rich but the dining area is very noise with a constant “music” of iron chairs being grabbed on stone flooring. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
