Great place to stay - it's just a very short walk from the Ha'Davidka tram line so accessible to the area (which is bustling with shops and food, and yet it is nicely tucked away from the noise). The staff are very, very helpful. I stayed at both the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Abraham Hostels. The service and genius loci...

Excellent facility. Knowledgable, helpful staff, great room, excellent location. I'm a 68 year old woman and this was my first stay in a hostel. I'd do it again if they are all like Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem.

I stayed 3 nights back in the beginning of May. Was a mix of everyone - backpackers, elderly and families. It's not a party hostel but still a social place and everyone is nice as well as up for chatting. The staff are brilliant and put on daily events which really help to meet others. The rooftop and breakfast was...

Had a great time staying at Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem with my friend. The hotel staff were attentive and helpful. Interesting and knowledgeable people with diversity of age who stayed in this hostel, unlike other places. Joined Friday night "Shabbat" traditional dinner where the staff explained and demonstrated what was all about "Shabat". We were impressed!! Good location as there...

We are not usually hostel people but this was fab! We had our own room. It was clean and functional as there is so much going on we didn't spend much time in it. Great bar/ meeting space to get to know other travellers. Would have liked something hot for breakfast but generally a great experience.

This is such a fun place to stay while in Jerusalem! We were only able to stay one night, and really enjoyed it! The hostel is very close to the Mahane Yehuda Market and easy access to the old city. The staff are fantastic and answered all our questions about the area. We were excited to attend Sabbath at the...

Clean, well organized check-in, great atmosphere. They had a Shabbat dinner that everyone joined in, alongside a proper blessing over the Challah and et cetera. It was very heartening. I think the future of hosteling is a place to stay as well as a place where activities for travelers are organized, and Abraham Hostel is moving to this end well.

Stayed in Abraham Hostel for 3 nights. It was the perfect location. The room is clean, decent and of good size with two twin beds. The bathroom is clean. Breakfast is good. The atmosphere there is very friendly.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less

“1st floor is the lounge and breakfast area, 3rd floor is the stairs to the rooftop so if you want a quieter level then pick the 2nd floor.”
