We really loved the American Colony Hotel. Beautiful courtyards and gardens. Fitting traditional design, with period pieces. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location is in West Bank but it's a 5-10 min walk to the Damascus Gate and a quick cab to anywhere.

The hotel was lovely inside and out. Beautiful courtyard with blooming flowers, great breakfasts and dinner in the main dining room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was equipped with a comfortable bed and linens, chairs and a desk - all classically decorated.

After long drive from The Golan we arrived in Jerusalem at dusk and arrived at The America Colony. We were welcomed into the beautiful lobby with glass of champagne and upgraded rooms. As it is March there was a chill in the air and the fire place was ablaze with guests sitting and chatting. Our rooms had balconies and were...

This hotel is amazing. Wonderful service and very kind staff. The setting is historic and beautiful down to every detail. The hotel is a mixing of cultures and provides a welcoming and peaceful place for all travelers throughout the world. I come to Jerusalem for business several times a year. I could stay in any hotel but I come here...

Wonderful for the history but missing the little things. It just does not feel as welcoming as places I have stayed in this class. The service is just there. I've gotten used to a nice nespresso in the room not instant coffee like here. There is lots of character just don't expect a luxury hotel.

An absolutely gem for Jerusalem. Unmatched history of the hotel with unmistakable charm. I was there on business with 50 people on a tour and the handling of this size of group was flawless. I and our group could not have been more pleased with the service, quality of food and cleanliness of the hotel and grounds. Located within walking...

The hotel is nice and has a lot of charm and character, however, it is not really a luxury hotel. Service was friendly but the facilities could use a bit of updating. Our roomroom was spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the city. However, the ightstands were ti y and all the space was taken up with the lamps...

This is one of the "Best Hotels" and it lives up to its billing. The staff is very well trained, the rooms are comfortable, and the food is exactly what you need. We are here with a small (16 person) tour group, and the hotel has been most accommodating with meeting rooms.

The American Colony is the only place to stay to get a finger on the pulse of what's going on in Jerusalem. Filled with lunching diplomats, correspondents in search of the next story, and tourists on their Middle East jaunts, the hotel has a wonderful, exciting energy. The rooms are lovely and large, and have been modernised overlooking gardens. You...
