I spent one night with my husband last week and it was too much. The hotel is really old and not well maintained, the room was tiny with a view on the garbage cans. It was a 2 twin beds room although in my reservation we mentionned we wanted (and paid for) a double bed. Bathroom was also very small...

Management response:

Dear Madam, The rooms at the Montefiore are regular sized. Comparing to other hotels in the center of town the price and size are considered fair. However, we are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us, and ask you to be in touch with us for further information. Sincerely, Naama Yemini

Let's start with good things about this hotel. Great location, clean rooms, fairly equipped. That's it... Pretty expensive low budget hotel. Less pleasent things... Unprofessional and extremely unfriendly reception staff. Just look at one of recent reviews. Couple of times we applied with question and got the feeling of "well... what now?". It went even worse, when by mistake the...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Montefiori. The location is excellent as you can walk for about 10-15 minutes to the old city and to the restaurants on Jaffa and ben Yehuda streets. It is located on a small pedestrian street, where on Fridays there is an art fair of local artists. We arrived very early in the morning...

Awesome location, and very quiet street, even it's at the very centre. My room was very nice, clean sheets, clean bathroom, .. nice colours in the room. Kinda of cozy room. My mattress was good and pillows were good as well. A nice room for one person, charming. My room was closest by the elevator, so it was a bit...

Me and my GF stayed at this hotel for our 3 day stay in Jerusalem. Location is perfect, with only a 10 min walk to Jaffa gate of the old city. The food in the place they use for breakfast "Angelicas grill" is not that good. We tried both dinner and the included breakfast and they weren't that good I...

Thank you for your review. We supply in the rooms thin duvets as it is summertime in Israel.Extra blankets can be found in the closet. As for the matresses, the montefiore hotel has recently replaced all the mattresses to new ones,at the best quality available for the hotel industry in Israel, those mattresses are medium -not soft nor hard,in order to match...

First things first. My wife is not easy to please and even she said that this hotel was 'clean' which is high praise indeed. From that start point everything else fitted in to place nicely. I have to say that it was a pain to find the hotel because it is on a small pedestrian area with no parking and...

The Montefiore is literally around the corner from Ben Yehuda Street and an easy walk to the Old City. It's also very close to the Great Synagogue and convenient to several other shuls frequented by tourists. The rooms are very nice, with spacious bathrooms and TVs, safes, fridges and hotpots in each room. The food was good, but not really...

We enjoyed our one week stay at the Montefiore. It was our first visit to Israel and picking a hotel had been a bit of punt. It turned out to be a good choice - certainly in terms of value for money. The room we had was not luxurious by any means but it was comfortable and we had all...

We were pleasantly surprised that the Montefiore Hotel offered us a very comfortably room that despite some need of updating had all that a traveller desires: new LCD TV, mini-fridge, safe, comfortable beds, and some room to move about. I say this because the price is way lower than Jerusalem hotels that are as conveniently located as this one is...
