We stayed here three nights. The rooms are massive - very authentic and much better than staying a modern 'box'. Bathroom was small but that was excusable considering the retrofit that had been done to make this a hotel.Staff were very helpful and the food was really good - Arabic/Palestinian choices for lunch and dinner, with massive helpings, and simple... One of my favorite places to stay in the world. I can't believe I have never written a review for this very special hotel. All of the employees from the owners down have always been fantastic to us. There is a wonderful and insightful conversation around every corner. I have also met some of the most fantastic guests staying here.... More

We spent 5 days in this very charming, historic hotel in East Jerusalem. The hotel is very conveniently located, 5 minutes walk from the Damascus gate to the old city, and a similar distance from the very convenient tramline, which provides easy access to West Jerusalem, running up the main thoroughfare of Jaffa Street, ending at the “must see” Yad... This hotel is very authentic with its building, design and decor. I love eating in the restaurant which is outside the building in the garden and covered in a special way. They have also different activities suitable for tourists as well as locals all around the year.

Very nice family hotel. Hotel is being looked after but has been aging which makes it look neglected. I did not like the outside environment. It is close to the Damascus Gate which is not my style of market to hang around.

Great Arabic style hotel, every room is in unique. Friendly Staff. Great location if you want to visit the the Old City, it is right outside of the Damascus gate. If you want to spend more time in the new part of Jerusalem and stay out later at night, especially if you are a single girl traveler, I would recommend... More

I ordered a salad and appetizer. Both were excellent. The espresso here was very good too. This garden restaurant is located right next to the bus station and very close to The garden tomb. Service was excellent. If smoking bothers you you might want to consider dining elsewhere.

Its Charming. Its located in the heart of the city of Jerusalem , close by to everything. Also the staff are very friendly. Food is average, not as amazing as expected. Dear Max, Thanks for staying at the Jerusalem hotel and we are glad that you enjoyed the stay. A note about the cat and why the staff tend to push them away. As much as you like cats we had negative reviews regarding them - Some people might have allergies or have phobias from cats, thus we try to discourage... More

This hotel is in a convenient location for those who want to visit the old city. It's close to the Damascus gate, which is a beautiful gate to enter the old city from the arabic part of Jerusalem. The arabic style of the rooms is great too and gives an authentic Middle Eastern atmosphere. One negative point is the restaurant... More
