The staff here are amazing, very helpful and generous. They will look after you well during your stay. Ask for Muhammad and Afnain, they both looked after us especially the Muhammad at reception. Even their hotel cleaning staff look after you, a must stay at hotel if you are ever in Jerusalem. Location is also perfect, public transport or taxis...

If you are not looking for a luxurious five stars hotel The National is the right place for you. Clean, towels changed daily, great food in the restaurant on the terrace. Best of all is the staff. Friendly, always very helpful. They showed my friend and me how to "travel" through the old streets of Jeruzalem - the Damascus Gate...

Stayed there for seven days in June 2015. Rooms are decent size and clean. Sheets changed daily. The TV reception a bit hit and miss. Very good value for money. Good breakfast including a fresh omelette station.Five minutes walk to old city. Restaurant good , large portions, but remember this hotel and all in this area do not serve alcohol....

This is my first negative review on trip advisor. I stayed at National Hotel in April. The only positive thing about the hotel was the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful ! I give them 5*. What a shame that the hotel is completely run down. The bathroom was in really bad condition. I will try to post some...

My wife and I, 69 year old independent tourists, stayed at the National 7 nights in May 2015. It's in East Jerusalem, Muslim neighborhood (it's lively, colorful and friendly), a 12 minute walk to the Damascus Gate which makes it a great bang for the buck. It's very modern, clean, and managed by professionals. The young industrious owners are always...

The National is an absolutely lovely hotel in the middle of the bustling Bab a-Zahara neighbourhood in East Jerusalem. I stayed there for three weeks in May 2015 and it was just perfect. The rooms are big and comfy with all mod cons. WiFi, air-con, shower all worked great. Breakfast is a huge buffet on the top floor overlooking the...

Everything from the large modern and comfortable rooms, delicious meals and lovely helpful staff made my stay the more enjoyable in this beautiful city. The hotel was also situated near all the local tourist attractions, which was a big bonus. I highly recommend the National Hotel to anyone...

Located in the Arab quarter of Jerusalem only 7 minute walk to Old City, 15 minute walk to Garden Tomb and Palestinian Pottery Studio, half hour walk to Garden of Getsthemane and Marys tomb. At first the neighbourhood looks a little sketchy but never felt unsafe or threatened. Police station close by. Hotel staff understand the meaning of hospitality, especially...

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and left our luggage at the reception. When we returned the staff at the reception was very helpful giving us all the info we needed about all the attractions, a map and instructions on how to get from A to B. In the room we found cold water and some delicious...
