Our group of 4 had a very pleasant stay at the National Hotel for 3 nights. We booked the hotel the night before the arrival to Jerusalem on the basis of positive reviews and its strategic location in the heart of the old city, few minutes’ walk from the Damascus Gate. This allows you to explore the old city on... More

Good hotel and staff. The breakfast is fantastic. Have a made to order omelette and get a few of the potatoes. It is not too far from Herod's Gate and also the Garden Tomb. (I would recommend seeing this). Free parking just behind the building.

I stayed at the National Hotel back in 2013 during my first visit to Jerusalem and am reviewing it a second time. Five days and again found the hotel to be a fantastic value. The hotel itself is staffed by people who go out of their way to make one comfortable. Nirvana at the front desk is mentioned over and... More

I visited Jerusalem last March after performing my Umrah. I was here with a Muslim agency from Singapore. This hotel located around 7 minutes walk from Herod's gate. It has very friendly staff who provides 5* service. Very nice, especially the tall front desk man by the name of Muhammad. The food provided was high in quality. Very delicious. I... More

Hotel was good but the location on the Palestinian section of the town was not great. Very close to the wall of the old city. Room was big, clean with satellite TV. Breakfast was great with a big selection of food. Staff was nice.

My wife and I stayed at the National from March 25, 2015 to March 28, 2015. Upon arrival to the free parking lot at the back of the hotel we were instructed where to park the car by a lot attendant. He immediately called the desk to send someone to help with our luggage as my wife uses a wheelchair... More

Can not say enough good things about this hotel. Had a lovely room with balcony. Room was clean and lots of hot water. The bed was very comfortable. Restaurant was on top floor with beautiful view....and food was amazing along with service. The owner, manager, every member of the hotel treated us like family. Nirvana at the front desk was... This hotel is really well located, in a lively part of East Jerusalem and a short walk to Damascus Gate. I have to say I am surprised by the extremely positive reviews, the hotel is run down and the bathroom had a foul smell constantly. The service was ok, WiFi worked well in the rooms, but the breakfast was repetitive... More
