The Maiersdorf Faculty Club at the Mt. Scopus campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem that overlooks the Old City takes parts in numerous festivities such as Board of Governors Meetings and official dinners, Fellowship ceremonies for students and special visits of Head of States and congresses and workshops of faculty members and visiting professors and students alike. In the...

Basic but comfortable rooms (which are a bit of a throwback to the 70's in Israel!) Great coffee shop/restaurant downstairs with good coffee and food pretty much all day. Can't beat the views from the restaurant patio of the city. Parking and access are really difficult.

formally it's a small hotel for the guests of the hebrew universit, but if they have rooms available they will be happy to host also other guests. there is also a restaurant, where you can have the famous big israeli breakfast. in the cafeteria you can have good coffee and cake or sandwich, to enjoy the beautiful terrace that has...

I stayed here as part of a two-week seminar I attended. If you need to be at Hebrew University, this is a terrific location. If you want to be able to do things in the heart of Jerusalem, it's not convenient (although there are buses and the light rail). It's about a 40 NIS ride to get to anywhere fun...

My comments do not account for the difficulties of entering and exiting the compound. I understand and appreciate the Faculty Club Hotel's measures to institute security measures. The rooms are definitely spartan. My sister and I stayed in a double room (two twin beds). The bathroom (particularly the shower/tub) should be upgraded. An easy step is to change the shower...

This hotel is very convenient if you are attending a conference at Hebrew U. However, it is quite dated - really old, leaky bathrooms, small rooms, small beds (I mean, single is single!). Also, on friday nights and saturday, essentially it locks down, and it is very difficult to get in or out - gated parking lot, very complicated system.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night. because i had an exam early in the morning in the university. the hotel is located inside the university, and away from the city center and all other attractions. the hotel in not fancy, just a regular 2-3 hotel. it was clean and quiet. and breakfast was nice but modest. it's nice but...

Constant gun fire heard from east Jerusalem in the evening which is not only scary but stupid also. Campus is beautiful but don't enjoy being scared as an American who doesn't come from this type of atmosphere. I would pay more to be in a safer area next time

We stayed here recently when visiting Jerusalem for a weekend...A past stay (2-3 years ago) had been less then successful due to the fact that the rooms were rather worn. This time (March 2013) , the rooms seem to have been nicely renovated. Simple but very clean and pleasant (except the bathroom which still seemed old)... It is a pain...

I stayed at the Maiersdorf Faculty Club with my wife for a week. The time we spent over there was, in one word - great! The yound lads who work at the reception during the afternoon and night are kind and helpfull and that includes the rest of the employees at the hotel. The room size is decent and it...
