What a dump. The installations are dated. Went to the restaurant for lunch and was told they had ran out of meat. That is while I waited four hours for my room. Each time I went to the desk, I was told that Lilly, the royal housekeeping supervisor, said it would be another 15 minutes. Of course, they didn’t dilly dally to charge me $50 USD a night for a special promotion upgrade, that was actually more expensive than what was available on line. What a bunch of crooks. Oh, and did I mention that the food sucks?
Nice hotel situated on the beautiful cancun beach. This isn’t a resort rather an all inclusive hotel. Great room size. I had a master suite. The food is good. Drinks are good. José Juan and Eddy in the bar are fab!!! I’ll come back
I have been staying at NYX Tel Aviv for the last two and a half years as I am working in Tel Aviv on a weekly basis. It is assumed to be the second home for myself and colleagues. The hotel is easily accessible from the highway and it is much closer to the Business district than Beach Hotels. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The Breakfast is rich while there are quite a lot options for lunch or dinner at the Bar. My personal favorite is NYX Burger!!! The hotel has a rooftop bar during the Spring/Summer time where anyone can enjoy the nice view having a drink. The soul of the hotel is its excellent staff making guests happy. Worth mentioning Reception: Tal, Nastya, Yuval, Business Lounge: Milana, Bar: Alex, Ksenya
Friendly staff, from front desk to bar to, security to advice... etc. GREAT breakfast! Parking next door. Easy access to railway 6-7 mins walk. Clean, quiet room. Everything works. Has iron and ironing board. Great shower... etc. Its all very 'regular' but the decor is decidedly funky. Trying to be edgy.. not sure about that, but its no distraction.
In a review I wrote a year ago I gave a glowing account and five stars to this quirky, boutique hotel. But while the price remains reasonable, the wifi works well, the breafast buffet has a wide selection and the bar staff were friendly, some other aspects did not seem as good. The water in the shower pulsed from tepid to uncomfortably hot (and my two colleagues experienced the same in their rooms on other floors) and some of the tiles were stained. Some of the reception staff gave off an indifferent attitude. I sent a suit for dry cleaning at 8.30 a.m. and it was supposed to be returned that evening. But it wasn't, resulting in me speaking at a big conference the next day wearing jeans. (To be fair, the hotel deducted the laundry charge from my bill without me asking). My colleagues and some of our clients who were also staying here on our recommendation were a little underwhelmed. "Trying a bit too hard to be chic" was one comment. Not sure I'll be staying again.…
