We have been using Retaj Hotel for a few years, especially for business meetings and short stays. The meeting rooms are good in specific the roof top one. Staff are gracious, cooperative and professional. The food is tasty and home-like. The location of the hotel is also convenient. If you're in Amman for a short stay, Retaj is recommended.

My son and I stayed for 3 nights at the Retaj hotel. Our first night we found our room satisfactory, but certainly not noteworthy. When we returned to the hotel a week later we were in a considerably nicer room on the 4th floor. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was unspectacular, but not terrible. Staff... More

This is an excellent place for a training course. The roof top meeting room is light and airy, giving on to a terrace, and the buffet lunches are delicious. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I recommend it highly. Retaj would get 5 stars for its conference facilities. Three stars only for the accommodation. The bedrooms are quite small... I stayed in for two nights. Rooms are considerably small and no free WiFi was available. 3 days Wifi cost 3 JD (5USD) with 3GB limited data. Amman is a costly capital and Twin room cost around 95 JD. It is situated in a costly area and restaurants around the hotels are costly as well.

This hotel needs some major renovation and rethinking, including some female employees. My room was extremely dark with two lamps barely working and only one plug working in the entire room. I had to unplug a lamp to charge my phone and sit in the dark. The bedding and towels were very old and had stains on them. There were... More

This hotel was fine for 4 nights and traveling around by day. The rooms are just starting ro show a little age . I hope they jump right on that. The a/c was a bit loud and weak and the sun came in the big front windows did not help. Maybe get a back room and it may be quieter... More

Stayed here for 2 weeks on business. Comfortable & good location. However, cleaning staff do not do adequate job. When I arrived, there was hair in shower & on towels! They did not empty my full trash & left a cleaning rag in my room on some of my clothes. Internet spotty in room. Some nice restaurants in walking distance,... More

I only had a short stay at the Retaj but I was very impressed with the level of service. Staff were friendly and very helpful, of particular note were the lady at reception and the driver who took us to Allenby crossing (sorry can't remember names). Restaurant recommended across the road was memorable - a must! Room was small but... More

Stayed in Reraj from 13 to 17, the hotel rooms facing the street are very noisy, rooms are clean but furniture is run down and beds small. Good breakfast but only available after 07:00 am, if you planning an early day you might have to reconsider a breakfast pack.

The hotel's exterior is a bit grim looking- but nefer judge a book by it's cover. Rooms are of a high standard, cleaning staff are outstanding and you won't lack for anything. The support provided for holding meetings/workshops is nothing short of outstanding. Staff were dedicated, the room was constantly cleaned, coffee breaks and meals were outstanding. The Retaj is...
