I came to stay for a day or two and ended up staying couple of days. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and close to many conveniences - a mall right across that has a grocery store, couple of eating joints. There is a great coffee shop right across the street with great place to sit, work, and have great coffee. You can walk for few minutes and come to many authentic eating joints. About the hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a huge breakfast spread. The best are the folks at the front desk. Monsour, Adele, Omar, Noor are very helpful and friendly. They gave me advice where to go in Amman, how to get around. The lady in the breakfast area advised where to get the best Falafel in the town. The hotel price is very attractive. This would the place you can come and relax. Go across the street to get coffee, work and then go to mall if you need a toothpaste. Hop into a taxi (there are plenty outside) to visit the Citadel or the Museum or the Roman Theater or Falafel joint. Don’t miss the spice shops nearby. It may be one of the most amazing spice and Arabic sweets shop I have seen in the Middle East.

There was a security gate when we pulled up at the hotel, and there was a security checkpoint when going inside that we had to run our luggage through. We got checked into the hotel, and it was a rather small room. The two single beds were definitely twin bed size, if not smaller. The biggest problem is that I could hear all of the noise from the family in the adjoining room, and we were literally right next to the elevators, so there was a lot of other hallway noise trickling in. The buffet food was ok, but it's the same thing all the time, so it starts to become unappetizing. Watching the other guests touch the food and put it back is unsettling; they almost need an attendant stationed there to keep people on their best behavior. We stayed there one night when first arriving in Amman, and then a few more at the end of our trip. The tall pillows really start to be come uncomfortable, and the noise carries very well through the bathroom, so listening to someone get sick in an adjacent room was unideal.

Just spent one night here, and that was enough. The guy on reception was friendly, and the lobby is fine. But the room is very run-down, and in need of a refurbishment. The mattress was old, the pillows were overstuffed and high, which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The bathroom was tired and a bit grubby. A very basic stay. Clean and basic is what I expect from Ibis; this was a bit too basic, and too shabby.

We've stayed in Ibis hotels all over the world (including developing nations), and this was by far the worst Ibis we've ever stayed in. We were on a tour and spent a total of four nights (two separate stays). On the positive side: The location is decent, on a relatively quiet street across from a mall (with a large supermarket and fast-food restaurants) and near a main street--but it takes awhile to get to the popular Amman sites (e.g. 25-30 mins to the Citadel or Rainbow Street via taxi/Uber, costing about 5-7 dinar). The sheets seemed to be clean and the beds well-made. The staff in the dining room and front desk were all very friendly and helpful (with the notable exception of the one woman who was rude and refused to even consider giving us a different room when we asked not to be located next to the elevators again after it disturbed our sleep with our first stay). The buffet breakfasts and dinners didn't offer much day-to-day variation but had a lot of different options so were fine for the length of our stay. (We appreciated the made-to-order coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, which were included with breakfast.) The reasons for the poor rating: 1. Despite cool weather, both rooms were always uncomfortably hot (between 26.5 and 27.5 degrees C), no matter how you set the thermostats (which seemed to be non-functional--see photo). Windows didn't open, and we were right off the elevator, so we couldn't leave the door open. Since the bed had a duvet (and no top sheet), our choice when sleeping was uncovered or smothered. 2. One elevator was non-functional (based on an earlier review, this had been a problem for a while). The "call" buttons didn't all work, either. 3. Rooms were poorly maintained. Bed-side shelves were falling off the wall, a soap dispenser was missing a screw (so moved when you used it), painted wood surfaces (desk and bedside shelves) were chipped and stained, carpet was stained, the shower pans in both rooms leaked big puddles on the floor (clearly for a long time, based on the water damage to the wooden surfaces nearby--see photos), the shower enclosures were crusty and moldy (see photo--maybe due to the constant moisture from the leaks?), and one room's toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the button in for 10 seconds. 4. The trashcan in the bathroom was too small for a country where you are asked not to throw your toilet paper into the toilet. 5. You get just one bath towel per person and one hand towel per room. (Definitely not enough when you have to mop up big water spills after every shower.) Bottom line, if the hotel were to invest in upgrading the rooms (and fix the ventilation), it has the potential to be a nice place to stay. Until then, we recommend staying somewhere else.

A little out of the way but super cheap to get an Uber downtown just 2 to 3 JD. Room was a little run down especially the bathroom. Hallway light would not turn off so super hard to sleep. Breakfast was just about acceptable, there was an 'egg station' but there was never anyone there to place an order. Coffee machine was broken most of the time that we were there. Evening meal was pretty poor (especially as we are vegetarian). Paid to eat out in the evening rather than eat the buffet that was included in our tour. Lifts were a little temperemental. On a positive note the staff seemed very accommodating and friendly. Always water left in the room and more coffee and tea on request. We started and ended our tour here and would have preferred to have stayed elsewhere but we made the most of what we had...

We arrived in the dark and from outside you get a preview of what it to come. The word Hotel has only the 'H' and 'O' lit. Inside, it is evident it is a budget hotel. 2 out of the 3 lifts weren"t working. The rooms were small, dark dreary and worn. Dirty tiles in the shower and mold. We had to be moved as the air con didn"t work and the bathroom door handle came off in our hands. Our rooms weren't serviced every day and when we asked for our complimentary water to be replenished they tried to charge us. Drinks in the bar varied in price in accordance with who was serving you. We were unfortunately half board and 2 people in our group were poorly due to the food. It was disorganised and chaotic at meal times with repetitive food choices which resulted in people eating else where. There were never any cups for drinks, the coffee machine was out of order and you were lucky if you could find any cutlery. Avoid this hotel at all costs, it was the let down of an otherwise fantastic trip.

They say the rooms are non smoking, but there were ashtrays in the rooms and hallways and the hotelstunk of cigarette smoke. The food selection was ok, but hot food is luke warm, a perfect breeding place for bacteria, my husband got violently ill, as did 4 others on our group that ate at hotel. Coffee machine did not work and there was only 2 small pots of coffee made at a time . The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant around the corner Reem Al Bawadi it was excellent and very reasonable,as was the sweet shop down the street.
