This hotel seems to be well past its glory. The facilities are old and stuffy. The location is so so. The staff sometimes super nice sometimes rude, not very consistent. Wouldn't recommend staying there.

I strongly believe a few first class hotel chains in the western world have a few things to learn about service from Hotel Markazi! Ms Fatima at the Front Desk went out of her way to help us and gave us plenty tips on do’s and don’ts in Tehran and Iran in general. Very impressive! Did I mention that the hotel is spotless, located perfectly and has very nice rooms? All this for a rate that is beyond reasonable. This IS the hotel to stay at in Tehran!
