Friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast, clean and spacious family room. It is a bed and breakfast only hotel but that was no problem as most of the day we were out sightseeng in Beirut. Also there is no gym or spa in the Hotel.

I liked the interior design. It's not one of those forgettable everyday hotels. The hotel is a bit old (which I don’t mind), but clean and everything worked (fridge, lights, A/C etc.). Shower worked well (good pressure, temperatures from cold to hot). Kettle (metal, not those cheap plastic ones), tea and coffee provided as well as water bottles. Rooms are bigger than in many other big city hotels. Staff very friendly. Wifi worked very well, fast and reliable, didn’t disconnect once. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices. Location is very central in Hamra, one road removed from the main street. No noise problems. Good restaurants close-by. Would stay here again. Pick-up from airport (USD 35) worked as well. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that I could sometimes smell when someone next door was smoking and a guy was smoking at breakfast. But I assume that is not specific to this hotel alone and could happen anywhere in Beirut as smoking is very common.

Great value for money, clean overall, has ok-ish breakfast, stayed there 4 nights and only had breakfast on the first day. Rest of the days we were either going out early morning or sleeping till late. We requested for spicy omelette which they specially made for us, it was fresh and tasty. It’s in the hamra area, so there are a number of restaurants and cafes around. The hotel has elevator. There is a great barber shop 30 seconds down the road from the hotel, in case you need a quick fix. We got a duplex suite, it had 3 single beds, a kitchenette, living room, a full bathroom on the first floor, a king-size double bed, a jacuzzi and toilet, and a shower box outside the toilet on the second floor. The place was enough for a family of 5, maybe even 5 adults. There was 3 of us, so we had ample space. The single beds were ok, the double bed was comfortable. Pillows could be improved, it may have given me a neck ache, but I recovered in a day or two. The room downstairs (with 3 single beds) is a made-up room, it’s difficult to explain, but seems like it wasn’t a room and that a larger living room has been converted into a smaller living room and a bed-room. There’s not much place to walk about in the tiny room, but it fits 3 people ok for a night’s sleep. There is no air-condition in this room so the room gets cold air from the air-condition in the living room. The first night we got in, the whole suite was quite warm as the air-condition wasn’t switched on. It took a bit of a time to get the living room cool down, and took almost half the night to get the room on the first floor to the temperature that was comfortable to sleep in. During the rest of the stay we let the air-condition switched on throughout the day and night and it was comfortable all over the suite to sit and sleep. House-keeping did turn the air-condition to fan a few times, but it was ok. Great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. So, the only suggestion that I can make is if the hotel can have the air-condition switched on prior to the guests’ arrival then that would make it quite welcoming and comfortable. Maybe when booking the guests can make this request.
