Enjoy your stay in Beirut!
I went to this gorgeous roof terrace and pool twice whilst in Beirut - the rooftop pool and surrounding area are so beautifully done - chic, clean and so pretty. Sadly a huge high rise blocks the sun every lunch time, but the emerald green pool is a joy! the terrace restaurant is also lovely - great, eclectic menu, beautiful china, delicious homemade bread, very good food (try the Albergo salad) and lovely atmosphere. Service is well meaning but a little haphazard. But SO WORTH a visit to this little oasis of calm.
This hotel was beautiful and well located near good restaurants and cafes. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The decor is charming and the room spacious. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. I loved it. Thank you!
Attractive and stylish hotel with a lot of nice and intricate touches. Quiet area with nice restaurants nearby and an easy and pleasant 20 minute walk into the centre. We visited during a chaotic period but the Albergo was a perfect base to be in central Beirut but away from the noisey bits.
I will return to Beirut just to stay at Hotel Albergo again. (I'd probably return to Beirut anyway, the city is great, but Hotel Albergo is going to get me to come back even sooner). We stayed in the Residential Suite which was palatial and beautiful, so romantic with all the antiques and art. Rooftop breakfast area, bars, and pool are gorgeous, with amazing views over the whole city. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive, all the way down to the hotel drivers. Food at breakfast was fresh varied and delicious, we didn't try any of the other restaurants in the hotel. The whole place has this amazing from-another-time feel, from the old-school elevator to the cages with little birds in them. You feel like you should be Somerset Maugham writing a book here.…
Stayed a night at Albergo Hotel which belongs to Relais & Chateaux group. Quality guaranteed. Was attracted to the beautiful interior furnished with a French colonial atmosphere. No matter the well decorated room, the ‘turn-back-time’ style of elevator, and the little courtyard, an elegant yet cosy atmosphere was presented. After I went into the room, a fruit basket consisting of all kinds of fruits you can imagine was brought to me. Indeed it’s a real delight and surprise! The room service in the form of Lebanese breakfast was simply perfect as well. Last but not least, regarding the location, it’s in a tranquil precinct with a lot of high quality restaurants. A prominent one, Liza, is also next door within walking distance. Just that it may be hard to find a place to park a car in front of the entrance. Perfect experience! …
