Old fashioned hotel. Very small room. Actually we think that they give us (a couple) a single bedroom as the bed was smaller than queen size. Bed sheets had holes. Reception staff is rather friendly; The restaurant staff is totally oblivious to customers. The room is old and scruffy; the bed spread is stained and discolored; Terrible pillows; Curtains grey with smoke probably and heavy cigarette smell in the room and the entire floor TV old and hardly working. The worse was the bathroom; Shower screen rusty, moldy and chipped... More

I have stayed at the Alexandre several times over the past few years, always trying to support a local neighbourhood hotel, but on my last trip the service and state of the rooms was absolutely terrible. To say the night staff are rude would be a credit to them and seem to have some scam going where they add on... More

Vanity is the name applied to the staff.... different prices given within minutes , coackroach found around noon in bathroom but nothing was done until late in the evening, small rooms buffet breakfast could improve by 20 folds

i stayed here for 5 nights and found the hotel to have an excellent location and that is as good as it gets. i was staying in a refurbished room which was large and very clean but basic.the staff were friendly but there was no atmosphere in the evening.........the hotel was full because of holidays but noone seemed to use... More
