We wanted somewhere to stop, just for one overnight stay, en route to Oman. We found the hotel absolutley ideal - friendly check in staff - really nice room and the whole Hotel was pleasantly decorated. Everything worked - tv, shower, kettle - no complaints. Free WIFI worked brilliantly and the Hotel was a 10 min walk from the City...

Probabley the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Istayed with my wife for a couple of days, rooms smell awful and you can clearly see the mold and fungus on the walls and inside the closets. I do not recommend it to anyone.

This is a hotel to select if you are spending an overnight in Doha. It is reasonably close to the airport (10 min), inexpensive, clean, and comfortable. There is not much nearby, but there are several convenience stores open 24 hours for small things. and a few restaurants in walking distance. Wi-fi is free. There was a refrigerator in my...

Our (positive) experience of this hotel is similar to many other reviewers. We chose it for the cleanliness and the decent price level. The hotel felt safe despite the not so charming neighbourhood. Since you would want a taxi whenever you leave the hotel (due to the heat), the location was not a problem. Note that the cost for a...

We stayed here after arriving on a late night flight. They arranged a car to meet us at the airport and check in was very easy. The porter brought our passports back when he brought our luggage up. The room was clean, tidy and had everything you need. It was a bit noisey in the morning as it's quite close...

Le Mirage Sharq is a very clean hotel. When I arrived in the hotel, the manager was very accomodating giving me a room on the higher floor. Breakfast was served in the lobby with very polite personnel. They serve eggs, croissant, bread, juice..very continental and of course fresh brewed coffee. At one point I forgot to lock my room safe...

I stayed there for 2 nights with a clean and comfortable room. But the TV english channels were not working so I missed the Iceland volcanic eruption news. There is no restaurant inside the hotel, but you can call delivery of fast foods to the hotel. There are very few western accepted restaurants in the neighborhood. The hotel is not...

As other reviewers mentioned, it's hard to find a sub $100/ night hotel in Doha. Le Mirage Sharq is one of the very few places we were able to find that seemed to offer good value for money. The hotel itself seems to be located not too far from the airport and about 15-20 min away (by foot) from the...

After traveling on a long-haul flight from the far-east to Doha, and stumbling through the excessively long immigration ride, and then trying to find out how much a taxi would be from the airport to the port area where this hotel is (30 riyals / £5.50 / $8 USD for those interested!) - I was so pleased to arrive at...
