The Sednaya Area which is only 27 km's from Damascus Old Town is a great place to relax and see the many sights of that area. Actually the Sheraton Hotel is located in the new area of Sednaya called: Ma'aret Sednaya which is a right turn at the cities only round-a-bout and you can easily follow the signs leading to... Hi guys! I spent 3 nights of my honeymoon at Sheraton Ma'aret Sednaya in Sept. 2011, it was just GREAT!!! Everything was fantastic! The location is on the top of Damascus so it is a bit far away from the city center. This can be good or not. For me I need it to be far away because it is... More

We stayed here on our last night in Syria-what a letdown after the charming converted hotels in the city centres! Massive rooms with 1970's furnishings. Good food but very expensive drinks. The ONLY thing going for it is the beautiful view of the mountains.

We booked Sheraton, Damascus for our 2 week trip to Damscus, capital of Syria. Damascus happens to be the oldest existing capital on earth. This hotel is managed by Sheraton and owned by the ministry of tourism. Thats speaks it for its average offering. Though service was good, it could be much better if Sheraton can reflect its values and... More

The location is very nice and quiet. You can have the nice view of the mountains and fresh air, far away from the noisy roads. It is really a great location. It took about 30 minutes by car to reach the mid of the downtown of the capital. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was super. We... More

A nice hotel, cant knock the service, and the pool/sunbathing area is great . The problems can occur at the weekend as the hotel can have 2 weddings to cater for per night and the noise from the music is loud. This noise lasts till 2 am, however even the corridors can be noisy for a good while after as... More

We stayed at this hotel from July 4th to July 9th. The service was excellent. Breakfast bar was superb. When we checked in we specified that we wanted rooms that would not be close to any wedding celebrations. Very quiet, no problems like other hotels in Syria. Very security conscious, so I felt very safe even though my Arabic is... More

Moved to this hotel after a horrifying experience at Majid Hotel in Damascus. This hotel has good service and staff. The only downside is location but renting a chaffeur driven car in Syria is not expensive, so the location did not matter much. The pool is good, and the buffet breakfast was kind of fine. This hotel could do with... More
