Not a chain, Royal M is privately owned & whilst this has positive & negative points overall it is an excellent choice of accommodation in Abu Dhabi & if you happen to find out about it ( because they don't publicise in the usual places ) I think you will be glad you did.
Rooms are spacious, elegant & contemporary. My deluxe had one of the best bathrooms I've stayed in the result of great planning. All space is well utilised. Personally I found the bed too soft but I do have a chronic back injury & slept well.
The breakfast buffet in Mezze is more than adequate to set you up for the day with plenty of international offers. This area is also used for lunch & dinner packages, the menu might be quite repetitive for longer stays. The other dining options are premium priced. Millionaires by Dahab is Lebanese. The menu looked great but with no views/vista it was very dark & not very inviting but the other option 'Celebrity' is excellent. Multicuisine fine dining with the options of menus from the Emirates, USA,France, Turkey & Japan you can mix your courses over the different countries and have plenty of choice. The iPad menu helps you easily negotiate the many options and you could easily eat differently every night for a fortnight ( although that would prove expensive. The View Pool bar also has a great casual menu with lovely cocktails. Happy hour late afternoon & the whole pool area is an architectural masterclass. The infinity pool itself whilst shallow is slightly heated & reason for staying here alone. Crown Island is a half hour speedboat trip away for those who must have sand. Photos taken there are very instagram-able but the area itself needs a lot of work & lets the resort down as a whole. This 5-star review is mainly because of the service staff. Whilst reception & concierge did not pick up it was my birthday service staff did & really treated me like Royalty & even though there is a wealth of accommodation alternatives in the area their treatment of me would make me choose this hotel again. Workers were professional & respectful ( indeed I had to work to encourage conversation as they wanted me to relax & enjoy myself.... I talked them round. So special thank yous Mel & Mohammed at the View Bar, Sunny & all the pool guys. Jasur & Adam at Cuvee. Viktoria, Adrianne, Dahlia, James & Erik in the restaurants and Kumar & Idris. Finally manager Sabah who I cornered with all my views because I would really like to see this place succeed for the service staff.

A brand new hotel graces Abu Dhabi. I was delighted to have stumbled across this rare jewel of a hotel. From the onset, on reserving my accommodation, I was met by professional staff eager to please their guests. Mr Mohammad Noorullah Khan, the guest service agent offered us a budget friendly rate for my family and assured us that we would be happy with our stay. His promises were definitely fulfilled as The Royal M not only pleased us, it managed to surpass our expectations. Mr Mohammad even ensured that we were well settled in after we arrived. The hotel boasts a gorgeous infinity pool that transcends into the sheer magnificence of the Azure Abu Dhabi ocean. The guestroom was spacious and elegantly furnished. Mr Hasane gave us a pretty room with a balcony. My kids were thrilled with the boat ride and the private island was an idyllic retreat. The hotel has so much to offer and I do feel that it will soon be an Abu Dhabi favourite. Breakfast was delicious and Ms Victoria and Mr Tamer ensured that my family was taken care of. They were super accommodating and even served breakfast which was suitable for royalty for my kids in the comfort of our hotel room. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a 2 night stay at this luxurious hotel has left me feeling like I've just returned from a faraway extotic island. This hotel will be high up on my recommendations of wonderful things to do in the UAE.

This is a really nice hotel so don’t be put off by my didn’t like comments. I just wanted to make a point so they can keep making small improvements. I would definitely come back. Also thanks to the lady who let me use the scissors in the morning to cut off my new shirt tags/labels! Always helpful 😊. Also really like Abu Dhabi. Safe, clean, fun, beautiful and interesting.

Asked for some cold water to be put in my sons sports water bottle (training at Man City Academy) and instead I they put hot water. Not amused and it could have been a disaster if I didn’t realize.
Pool bar service is slow. Normally only one member of staff on duty
Sweets/deserts are lacking taste and variety. No ice cream!
No toast
Crown Island is run down and has some safety issues (nails sticking out of water pontoon). Why not charge people a small amount and invest in the Island.
Service at the living room is slow or you have to find someone to serve you
Poor TV station choice for English speakers.

Good morning, my name is saleh salim i stayed in the hotel (royal m in abudhabi) from 15/7 to 30/7/2020.i had alot of problems first i had problem with the house keeping i request for house keepin then i went out of my room for long time after i came back the room was not clean i called them then they said we will send them it was too late aslo i need to take rest but i said its ok after that in the swimming pool their is a bar they put music alot of people they put songs from their phones nobody talked to them after 5 days i put my phone then one man his name is albert he remove my phone without informing me then i went to him why did you remove it he told me not allowed the rule is not allowed anyone to put i told him iam here in the hotel almost 1 week people are putting their songs nobody talked to them he said i was not here then i said when you are not here your team didnt follow up the rules! Then i talked to tamer and he said not allowed anyone to put its our mistake after that everyday i have problem in our rooms for house keeping sometimes they make house keeping but they didnt put towels i didnt use anyting from the lotion ,shower jel and shampoo for hotel i put them in drowers its mine right if i will use them or no i have my own shampoo and shower jel you can also check with people who were cleaning our rooms they saw my things in the rooms but they open the drowers and they took them and they were saying that you are complaining and you hide them i said i dont need them because iam nlt using them at all but put towels and clean my room finally in the breakfast as the covid 19 nobody allowed to put the food by him/her self when we went to the breakfast we saw alot of people they are putting the food by them selves and i complain about it nobody take an action tamer or ahmed majdy.

Last day i call the receptionest to book 2 rooms more but i told him i will give you a confirmation but he did the booking when i went for checkout they told me you have to pay for the others two room i talked to ahmed we didnt enter the rooms still they are the same he said already its check in ..in the system it not my mistake but i told him i will pay 1 room only he said ok then when i went for checkout they said no you have to pay for the two rooms i called ahmed he didnt pick up the phone then he called me i was out i told him when i come back from work i will pay it.yesturday i came to pay it then and i want to book for 1 week more they told me you are in black list i come shock why iam in the black list even you can aske about me my history in the hotel before these people i was coming i didnt do anything even the staff were very good elmeer, marina, gavnsta, ahmed harjawy ,sara alot of people but these two person are very bad they dont know how to talk to customers i stay manytimes in defferent hotela but like this managment its really bad i hope i can meet with manager he can do an action.also i was planning to stay in eid they told me the rate will be 450 per night i told them iam here from 15/7 almost 2 weeks they didnt do anything for me and i have friends they took the room for 3 nights 900 which is 300 per night because he is same as his country.

I stayed in Royal M on August 2020 with friends and booked a deluxe suite and a premium room. The hotel is nicely designed and the pool is great. I love the view from the rooms.
However the service is awful. We had to wait a few hours to be allowed in our rooms even though we booked and paid in advance. First they gave us a smoking room, but we indicated clearly at the time of the booking that we don’t want a smoking room. We had to call and change. Calling operator or reception for help was a nightmare during the stay since you need to call at least 20 times for them to answer. Even if they answer you have to follow up multiple times to get what you asked for.
The food was such bad quality, I didn’t have anything of that level in any hotel I’ve been to. I truly felt like I wasted my money.
They are extremely understaffed and their staff have no proper training whatsoever in hospitality.
The hallways and corridors are always noisy and you can hear kids screaming in your room. It was hard to sleep.
Also, the cleaning staff don’t really do their job well. There was rice and nuts on the floor in the corridors that stayed there for three days (all our stay). They don’t properly clean the rooms either. I found things on the carpet and a chocolate stain on the side table when I first entered the suite. We ate in the living room and there were some breadcrumbs on the floor; we asked them to come clean the room and when we came back the beds were made but the crumbs were still on the carpet.
The hotel is still new but it is not maintained well and soon enough will look pretty old and below standard of a five star hotel.
It’s a shame that the decor is pretty nice and the location is great but they are not taking proper care of it and their service is very poor. The saddest part is that I think they know that they are doing a bad job and no one seems to really care anyway. They are winging it really.

I dont know from where should i start! From the fact that it took them forever to do the check-in or from the fact that i had to carry my bags instead of them bringing the trolley which is very easy. Tgey are obviously not trained to do what they do and for sure them wont do well at peak seasons. The room basicalky had no bath gown, slippers, very limited number of towels. We requested an extra bed before going to the hotel and we did not get it even after multiple calls. We didnt get the gowns up to this moment. There was one mug for coffee even though we're obviously 3. And the guy was interrogating me why do i need extra mugs. It was horrible. Its really too bad to have such a great hotel, pool, and ambiance and to have such staff who lack professionalism. Basic supplies werent available! Oh wait, and look what i found an box thrown in the cabinet. They kept on saying that the delay is becauae tgey're sanitizing the room while i found this. So horrible!
The baby cot was left at the door as the whoever brought it didnt care enough to show his face and put it inside the room, i had to carry it myself.
And ofcourse the phone will be picked up by a miracle.

check in was uncomfortable and unfriendly staff. We booked four rooms and one of the rooms received at 5:30 pm and the fouthn room cancelled for no reason due to unavailability!
We have been forced to stay in a smoking room while we have kids and our booking was non smoking.
aggressive team which they didn't show any flexibility in dealing with customers.
Two of us get injurie in crown island which the hotel is operating from the wooden platform rusty steps and unfortunately there were no first aid and alcohol. The team requested the first aid from the hotel which required 30 minutes using the hotel boat and unfortunately the first aid didn't reach at all. Its not safe!

We stayed at Royal M hotel in Abu Dhabi for my kids spring break. We came from the USA to visit my family, and so they also decided to book rooms so we can be together. We got a sweet with two rooms that connect to the living area, and had a balcony overlooking the ocean.
I tell you, I really felt at home in this comfy, contemporary and stylish space.
The rooms were so big and clean. The bathroom was so lovely, I was able to relax on this trip while being hugged by the bathtub, and rain shower.

The pool is so nice, it is huge but not deep except in one small part. The kids loved it so much, they swam all around the little corners, they also had a little water play area for them with slides. All I could think of is that the pool area would make a wonderful place for a photoshoot.

We traveled to their private beach by boat, it was a 20 mins trip for just $12 per room. The island had many amenities including a pool, restaurant, long chairs and comfy couches, showers, bouncy castles for kids, a volleyball court, and a dock in the water to swim to. The only thing I did not really like was the quality of the sand in the water, it was the muddy type, like lakes, this comes down to personal preference.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Always responded to any special requests we had. The service was really good and the buffet breakfast in the lobby restaurant was very delicious while offering a variety of options. The rooms had espresso coffee machines and regular instant coffee.

The price we paid for the quality we got was super value for money.

The only thing that wasn't good is that we only stayed for 3 nights, but no worries we will be back, thank you!!!

when you enter the Restaurantaerea, a friendly and helpful VIca from the Ukraine has an eye on the sanitation requirements and guides you to the table. Alert staff is serving and informing about the specialties of the day. Under the eagle eye of the Director of Food and Beverage, Mr. Tamer Lachine everything works smooth and and well. The competent Isand Manager Mr. Ahmad Farouk has always a nice word for his guest and he takes care together with the over all looking Mody and the never tired Tareq and there staff. Food, no question, its delicious and well selected high quality.
The rooms are clean and are big enough als well maintained. Over all a placebo stay as we do and after 11 days staying here we have 11 more days ahead and are happy that we have selected this Hotel.

From the moment we arrived at silly 'o clock in the morning until the day we left, the staff at Royal M Hotel were extremely, helpful, welcoming and friendly.

The hotel is EXTREMELY clean, with not even a spec of dust in site!

Myself and my partner had an incredible experience in Abu Dhabi and a lot of that was from the Hotel experience.

Social distancing measures were always in place, masks were always worn and the concierge even helped us to find a hospital in order to take our mandatory PCR test.

I have no criticisms of the stay at all. Rooms felt luxurious and facilities were great. 24 hour room service was especially nice when we found ourselves returning some nights late in the morning.

All in all, highly recommend!

"Although it is beachfront hotel there is not a private beach, so there is a shuttle service free of charge but it is not the same. "
