We just returned from Abu Dhabi staying at the RIXOS Marina resort which recently opened in November 2022 so very new!! Our experience there was great!
The staff were very accommodating and we were provided a room quite quickly given our Gold status upon arriving in the morning. Honesty given we have stayed at many other resorts in Abu Dhabi including Regis Saadiyat, Jumeirah Saadiyat and Rotana Saadiyat this one topped the lot given all the extras.
The exceptional items that set this hotel apart given most other resorts do have gyms, kids clubs, piano players etc are:
1) The hours of this kids club 10am to 10pm and the staff currently at the kids club being exceptional. Most evenings kids enjoyed music, magician and acrobatic shows and/or disco and movie nights...quite exceptional.
2) Temperature of the pools was outstanding and beats all the other hotels with one pool heated to 30 degree Celsius!!! Other pools less heated, it’s great the hotel is trying to accommodate all guests with their varying pool temperatures.
3) Gym classes throughout the day and everyday. I do hope with time the classes offered will be as good as Rixos the Palm in Dubai with trampoline classes (not offered yet), cycling in the pool (not offered yet) and outside cycling classes along with Pilates and Yoga.
4) Great live bands in all different genres of music each night of the week at Antidote bar. The waiter at the bar is also lovely. Jumeriah also had live bands and St Regis Saadiyat at Budha Bar however these cover bands at Rixos had very good singing with the playing of music. We also enjoyed the piano and other instruments being played in the hotel at the Godiva lobby area each evening of the week for guests to just relax and take it easy.
Lesser strong points: Breakfast was good however hours would be better if they can stay open until 11am given the rush and if outside weather is windier guests are standing in a line waiting for a table (this happened also at Jumeriah Saadiyat) as there are not enough indoor tables for a fully occupied hotel. St Regis Saadiyat has the best breakfast experience honestly speaking given they work with UK times so will stay open for guests until 13:00. No one had to worry about getting up for Abu Dhabi time if you just came in from the UK or anywhere else.
This hotel is still working to open up a couple restaurants, the only place one could dine without the all inclusive for lunch and/or dinner was People's which is 7/10....we never found RIXOS to be amazing with food even at the Dubai Rixos Palm hotel and we found room service to be pricey, dinner at Peoples restaurant with 2 glasses of Prosecco was £120 (£30 for a main pp)
Not many rooms have a balcony which is unfortunate, the sea view is beautiful.
In general we had a really great experience with the activities and entertainment this hotel had to offer and I think we would definitely be back. A special mention for Alin (from Nepal) in the Turquoise dining room serving us a few days, we felt he was an always smiling, happy to help, friendly, calm and collected and an exceptional host/server - any hotel would be very lucky to have him. Baha (Turkish) who carried out the Spin/Cycling classes each day everyday trying to motivate attendees to do their best was also wonderful and finally the kids club staff including Racime who was more than happy to play games and draw with my 7 year old daughter for hours on end and treated her so well my daughter was happy and asked to attend each day. Aya and Sasha were also there most days and lovely with the children.

We had the best holiday ever at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi. We were upgraded by Arman at the reception giving us a sea view room positioned on the 32nd floor. Needless to say that the view was breathtaking. In addition, Arman negotiated an incredibly good price for us for the dinner buffet. The food was exceptional - oysters, sushi, so many different fish, fresh pasta, lamb chops made right before your eyes and many many more. We were treated very well by the staff at the cafeteria, (especially by Suhaila) who gave us complementary baklava and drinks on the day of our arrival. We were even given an extra single bed (by Farida at the reception) free of charge, which made our stay even better. The cleaning staff was so polite as well, especially Anggri and Widi, who took the time to make animals out of towels. The three pools and the outdoor space were amazing. The private beach was also a pleasant feature and we went there a lot. I liked the fact that we were not fighting for sunbeds like in other even 5-star hotels. There was enough space for all the guests and it didn't feel cramped. It was sparkling clean everywhere and the staff makes you feel like a royalty. We made a safari trip in the desert as well arranged by Anna and it was great. Our driver was Mohammed Rashid from India and he was a very intelligent and knowledgeable guy.

Hello everyone We rested with our daughter in a wonderful place, in Abu Dhabi on the island of Marina at the Rixos hotel, the hotel fascinates with its grandiosity and fashionable, reception, restaurants, bars. the rooms are all at the highest level. We lived on the 8th floor, the room has everything you need from bathrobes with slippers to shaving accessories. Room cleaning is excellent. towels and bed linen were changed every day, tea accessories were constantly replenished, thanks a lot to Milan Rokaya. In the pool bar number 1 (which is for adults from 12 years old) there was a wonderful bartender Sobhy, he speaks Russian, makes wonderful author cocktails, very cheerful and sociable. Thanks a lot to the guys from the Antidot bar, incendiary live music, great cocktails. The dishes of the main restaurant are very refined and delicious, a large selection of seafood, pasta. fish, meat. sausages, cheeses, fruits. Separately, it should be noted the pastry chef, he is from Turkey, the cakes from him are masterpieces. In general, I really liked the rest!

First afternoon here and I am truly gutted we stayed at the Sofitel corniche and for final few days decided to stay at Rixos! What a mistake!!! Check in truly appalling waited and waited finally served. We booked HB basis u til I asked there was no explanation on hotel amenities nothing. Dinner in restaurant was like a food market I am 7 months pregnant and had several people run into me including staff who run around like they are on a time limit to clear up. The worst experience I have ever had. After 20 mins I find seating order drinks wait and wait ask again still wait! Dinner complete and just before I leave my drink arrives! It’s such a shame a beautiful hotel is tarnished by poor service and over subscribed all inclusive people that I feel I wish I could move hotels was meant to be a memorable baby moon instead I’m dreading waking to the chaos tomorrow:( Abu Dhabi has some amazing 5 star hotel’s definitely not this one!!!
Also to top things up one of my bags on check in has disappeared no where to be found.
Management are not bothered about rectifying mid communication I addressed I was in the shower when I heard voices in my room with lights turned off only to be advised it was bell boys trying to get hold of me, I was so sure my do not disturb was on but advised it wasn’t.
From the above as you can see I am very very disappointed. So many lovely Rixos hotels this has to be my worst.

We booked the hotel last minute after reading reviews however upon entering the hotel it was all downhill for us - Customer service was non existent receptionist were moody on check in didn’t even advise how to get to our room or which floor the room was on was waiting 30 mins just to be seen to check in and not even acknowledged or offered a seat or water whilst waiting. Once at reception to check in all they kept advising is charges for everything such as bringing in a guest or if we were to lose the towel card. They also hold 1,000 aed on your card did not give option of not charging to room And pay as you go - conversion rate back to own currency once returned means you are at a loss. Had kids pool and kids club but wasn’t really suitable for 7-10 year olds was more for the young kids. Beach was ok not too big. Note rooms: do not have jacuzzi/whirlpool baths as advertised just standard baths and showers, rooms also do not have phones in bathroom as advertised the hairdryer is located outside the bathroom. We did request a crib for a 12 week old however was not in room and although our room stated king bed we had twin beds. Really hard to speak to someone to feed back and even emailed across however no one got back in touch with us. The hotel is not value for money looks great but the service really does ruin it there are soo many better hotels across Abu Dhabi that stand out more than this. There is no wow factor and nothing really that stands out. My son was really disappointed with the hotel and also noticed how rude and poor the customer service was. We defo will not be returning to this hotel.

I felt welcomed and looked after from the very first moment of my arrival until the minute of my departure. We were Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi at Christmas holiday with my 5 years old daughter. This hotel is brand new, the location is very nice, 35-40 minutes from Abu Dhabi airport. We got uprgade to deluxe room because of my honour account. The room was awesome, the panoramic lift was also amazing. Our room was on the 14th floor. The staff was very kind, the meal was also tasty and a wide variety of any kind of food, grill, sushi, freshly made pastas and so on. There are 3 bigger pools and a beach side, and a baby pool. There are a plenty of shades because of the building location, so if you want sunbathing you should seeking the sun walk. I would defenetly come back.

I'll be staying here for a week accompanying my mom for a business trip. The staffs are extremely welcoming and helpful. They try their best to make sure you feel comfortable throughout your stay in Rixos Marina. My mom was walking alone outside when a staff stopped to offer her a ride to the hotel, my mom gladly accept it. After they talk, she finds out his name is Yudha. It was nice to hear that the staff are actually very accommodating to the guests.
When we were getting breakfast on our first morning in the, a server came up to ask us what we want to drink. He was very helpful, getting us all the drinks we'd like to have. I even asked him if it was possible for the chef to cook me an eggs benedict for breakfast. He straightaway asked the chef, the chef then said they can cook it for me. The server, which I found his name to be Swardana, brought food to our table once it was cooked by the chef.
I have to be working in the hotel room for most of our stay in the hotel, through out the whole day i'll be in my hotel room doing work. The housekeepers would get my room cleaned while I was working. Putra and Milan were very kind to ask if I have any special request for the room, they also get their job done really fast but with great results since my room always turned out so clean and tidy. The make sure i'm comfortable during my stay. I'm very impressed with the hospitality the hotel offers. They have great staff i'll for sure come back to this hotel if i'm ever in Abu Dhabi again.

So we booked a room for 2 adults and two children (8 & 9). Since we are Gold members we expected an upgrade, but we were told this is not possible as we are "only" Gold Members and we need to be at minimum Platinum Members. We booked the highest room category to get upgraded to a Junior Suite, which we normally do and we do get upgraded. We were told this is not possible, but they could give us an upgrade for an additional AED 1,850 for two nights. Given that we had already paid AED 3,740 for the room for two night, this was just too much. We then decided to just keep the Sea View Room, "suitable for 2 adults & 2 children". We were then told that they could only put ONE bed for the child in the room and the other one would have to sleep with us in the double bed. When I asked the Manager as to why they advertise the room suitable for 4 he told me that they expect the guest to check the size of the room and we should have known that they can only add one additional bed. Then they offered me another discount for the Junior Suite. At that stage I had enough and I cancelled our stay on the spot in the Accor App. The Manager followed me out and said, "but we offered you another discount". Given that we drove to Abu Dhabi for for 1.50 hours for this pre-Christmas stay and especially the kids were looking forward to it, I had a lot of explaining to do to my two young children, explain why we did not stay there and why we had to drive back home! total waste of 4 hours driving +1.30 hours "negotiating". Staying for pleasure in a hotel, should be a positive experience. It certainly was NOT! We ended up booking another Hotel in Fujairah, the next day.

Hi yes there is quite a lot of construction going on around the hotel. All inclusive includes breakfast, lunch and dinner in the buffet. Then you can have lunch in Peoples , and you get 1 a la carte visit to each restaurant and there are 3 if staying 7 nights or more, the bakery club, ice cream but they only have lollies and fruit stand are included. Then you can drink in any of the pool bars and the Antidote bar but nothing at all in the lounge area.

Hi yes there are lots of families kids are everywhere, inflatables are allowed in the pool there is a games room and playground and a kids club but our child is grown up so not sure as to what the age range is.

Hi email the hotel they send you a fact sheet it's not as good as some other Rixos hotels I mean the all inclusive we are going in few week so not sure about the actual hotel yet.
There are more places to choose from in the Abu Dhabi area.
