The only 5-star hotel in Sanaa that is still functioning. The hotel is in downtown and is accessible through public transport. For people from outside the city, it is close to everything restaurants, grocery shops, outwear, teashops..etc. it's a walking distance from Sana'a's famous Tahrir Square. The hotel rooms have old furniture but clean and tidy. The staff are well...

I stayed there many times now, and I can say this hotel is the most convenient for people visiting Sana'a and looking for a clean hotel with good services and most importantly located at the heart of the city. A walk away from old Sana'a and near three of the main streets in town, Zubairi, Hadda, and Tahrir street. The...

Stayed for 10 Days oin August 2015. At the time one of the few hotels still operating in Sanaa. Clean and nice rooms with WiFi and 24/7 electricity, although no AC available. Well guarded and maintained. Restaurant open if one doesn't want to leave the compound, well located clos to the old town. Uses by international journalists and NGOs

Stayed at this hotel in April 2015 when Yemen was going through the unfortunate civil war. Excellent location of this hotel in Sana'a with very good food and very courteous and cooperative staff. Formerly known as Taj Sheba, I had very delicious Indian food at here. Despite the difficult times Yemen was facing, I found reasonably good services and facilities...

Good location, at the heart of the city.all you want is just walking distance from Yemen gate where you can feel and touch old Yemen. and its life style. one tip is important food and taxis are better taken out side the hotel.

Snotty staff, terrible service, indifferent food (at best), and worn-out rooms. The only thing going for it is the location. The security staff are - uneven, inconsistent, ill-trained and scary. Avoid it..!

Stayed there for 2 nights on a biz trip. Nice old world charm. The staff do a remarkable job of keeping the place running and maintenance despite all the turmoil around It could do with dome upgrades but then the pricing is in line with a 3 star in most big cities and the location is very safe. Staff is...

I have stayed at the 'Taj Sheba' a few times when working in Yemen with elections, and when I saw that they now have a Movenpick Hotel in Sana'a, I wanted to see how it stands up to the 'old' Sheba Hotel. I was thrilled to see it placed #5, while the Sheba is still remains #1! As it should...

I stayed two weeks here on business. it felt very safe and was conveniently downtown. The rooms are fine, very clean. They brought complimentary fruit most days - very nice. And once a week they gave the non-Muslim guests a bottle of wine (on Thursday!). Amazing in such a dry place and very appreciated. There was a manager's party by...
