We booked a three-persons room at this hotel, trusting the presentation at the internet homepage, where the rooms looked nice and well equipped for two people to sleep in separate rooms; bathroom, a relative spacious bedroom with a king size bed, and a small separate room with a sofa-bed, a TV-set, a small round table and three chairs. This room was equipped with a fridge that was quite noisy making sleeping difficult. In general the rooms were of poor quality, old fashioned and worn-down, and the light sources in the sofa room were remarkably poor and could hardly supply light for reading. The bathroom and the big bedroom were ok for a three star graded hotel. The ACs were not functioning so we had to keep the windows open to allow cool air to enter the rooms. The walls between adjacent rooms were so thin that it felt that we were sitting in the same room as our next-door tenants, and for street noise the same problem was prevalent. The quality of the room was a big disappointment for us, but having said that, the staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was disappointing and nothing like the glamorous pictures from the internet presentation. The location was great with "everything" within walking distance.…
Nice hotel, with good location, friendly staff, adequate rooms. Clean rooms, good bed, Close to the Punta del Este main visiting points. Adequate breakfast. Good price in comparison with other hotels in Punta
We arrived at the hotel under stressful conditions - our car rental fell through in Montevideo and we had taken the bus. Our itinerary was to continue on up the coast and into the interior but no car! Thank goodness for Laura at the front desk. She was there during the day and worked so hard to find a car for us - way beyond the call of duty. She saved our trip. The location for us was terrific being just around the corner from the Artigas Square a hub for activity in the old part of the point. From the intersection you could see the ocean in either direction. On Saturday night the square was full of families, music and the artist booth and activities were out in force. Our room was tiny without space to put our bags, tiny bath with shower stall but if you aren't outside most of the time in Punta del Este, what are you there for?…
Great friendly service the best always at your disposal. Right in the middle of Gorlero downtown...if this is what you like. No Pool...but you are 2 blocks from beach. No restaurante but you 2 blocks from all flavours. Free wifi, free basic breakfast. Rooms are just ok.. Depending in the room you might have fridge and AC. It is ok for a few days not a long stay.. Front facing rooms are very noicy at night!!!
