The Sol Andino Hostel is a good hostel in a great location. If you get a room ask not to be on the top floor. It would be nice if they had a bar but there are some close. The guys working the front desk were very helpful.

The hostel was in a good location, easy to get to everywhere you need to go. Taxi driver could not find it though and we ended up walking a while to get there so would probably recommend trying to get an airport transfer or some clear directions to the hotel. The rooms were quite dark but that was not a...

We stayed at Sol Andino Hostal for one night. It is very well located in the centre of the main tourist area. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The shower was great - hot water and good pressure. On the downside the plumbing system sometimes gave rise to a funny smell in the bathroom and it was sometimes...

Great little hotel located just a few minutes walk from Sargarnaga. Rooms large, clean with fab hot showers. Breakfast buffet better than in many other similar hotels. Staff went out of their way to help. Only downside is that rooms don't have much natural light, but they are quiet. Recommend.

Great location, lovely staff (who will arrange a pick-up from anywhere not just the airport, which is a huge plus in a city like la paz), spacious and clean rooms, an amazing breakfast and a nice roof-top terrace with great views. How people still find something to complain about in hotels like this, I will never understand......

Had two brief stays here - the first time in a four bed room; the second time in two twin rooms. The murals in each room are an interesting touch! The rooms are very dark and have poor lighting. Our first room had broken bedside lamps. Hot water in the shower; but not the basin. Rooms have a lockable cupboard...

This hostel is located really close to the city centre (a short walk), but is situated on a little side lane so is amazingly quite - given that you are in the centre of La Paz. We thought it was really good value; the rooms were comfortable & the breakfast good. Friendly, laid-back staff, & lots of nice communal areas...

Positive: breakfast above average, nice rooftop view, conveniently located, hot showers. Negative: overpriced, Wi-Fi was sketchy, cab called by reception not official although stated otherwise (but it was fine)

I arrived in La Paz at 1am, and the hotel arranged for a pick up for me which was incredibly helpful! On my first day, the front desk spoke English and was able to give me some directions and a map to get around the city. The room was very clean, and they give you lots of bedding to ensure...

The good: Spacious clean room with en-suite good hot shower/toilet, wifi in room, towel provided. Decent breakfast with eggs, toast, cereals, tea/coffee -- good by S American standards. A bit expensive for what we were getting by international standards, but reasonable by pricey La Paz/Bolivian accommodation standards. Well situated near markets and near heart of tourist area. The bad: Musty/mouldy...
