Had two brief stays here - the first time in a four bed room; the second time in two twin rooms. The murals in each room are an interesting touch! The rooms are very dark and have poor lighting. Our first room had broken bedside lamps. Hot water in the shower; but not the basin. Rooms have a lockable cupboard... More

This hostel is located really close to the city centre (a short walk), but is situated on a little side lane so is amazingly quite - given that you are in the centre of La Paz. We thought it was really good value; the rooms were comfortable & the breakfast good. Friendly, laid-back staff, & lots of nice communal areas... More

Positive: breakfast above average, nice rooftop view, conveniently located, hot showers. Negative: overpriced, Wi-Fi was sketchy, cab called by reception not official although stated otherwise (but it was fine)

I arrived in La Paz at 1am, and the hotel arranged for a pick up for me which was incredibly helpful! On my first day, the front desk spoke English and was able to give me some directions and a map to get around the city. The room was very clean, and they give you lots of bedding to ensure... More

The good: Spacious clean room with en-suite good hot shower/toilet, wifi in room, towel provided. Decent breakfast with eggs, toast, cereals, tea/coffee -- good by S American standards. A bit expensive for what we were getting by international standards, but reasonable by pricey La Paz/Bolivian accommodation standards. Well situated near markets and near heart of tourist area. The bad: Musty/mouldy... More

Gorgeous spacious rooms with piping hot showers and an excellent breakfast. It's a super location near all the main adventure companies, typical food and clothing markets and the main sights too. Staff are very polite and helpful. There is a laundry service and they can arrange a safe taxi service if you need to go to the airport/anywhere else. Very... More

I made a reservation via booking.com for 2 nights and upon arrival was told that my room was no longer available and that I should have been informed by email. I immediately spoke to one of the reservation managers on the phone and they said that the hotel had asked to relocate me to another place just down the street.... More

I stayed in Sol Andino 4 night during my visit in LaPaz. It is located in a central position, close to the Iglesias de San Francisco. The room and the bathroom were very clean. Moreover when we went to a 3 days trekking out of the city they kept our backpacks without asking any additional cost. People working in were... More

A quaint & quiet hotel in a great central location in La Paz. Although the décor is a bit old-fashioned, the rooms are clean & comfortable with plenty of blankets to keep warm on cold nights & showers are piping hot. Decent wifi, great choice of free breakfast (hot drinks, juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread, jam, peanut butter) & friendly... More

I arrived at 4am on a Saturday and the guy on reception was very good about it. Being dizzy from altitude I was thankful for sorting payment out at the end of my stay. The room was pleasant and perfect for a flying visit, although I missed breakfast so I can't comment on that. Wifi is surprisingly exceptional (I managed... More
