Ok the good first. The hotel is clean, good sized room, good wifi and an excellent location in the tourist centre. The beds are comfortable. The bad. We arrived at 11pm at night and were in desperate need of water as La Paz is at altitude so dehydration is a real issue. None is provided in the room and reception...

Given a good setting and location, a good staff or a poor one can make almost all the difference. I stayed one night at Hostal Naira, well located in the historic center of La Paz, and a nice setting in an old colonial house, updated with architectural and desing-wise respect and taste. I requestes some basic information from the front...

With most places in Bolivia, you don't book with credit card, so your room is not guaranteed. Most places are quite paranoid about reserving a room and then having a no-show. I can understand this because it means lost money. That said, we reconfirmed three times as per their instructions (email, phone, email) to make sure they knew we were...

A nice hotel in a very good location. The Internet connection and breakfast are also top notch. The only issue was in the two rooms that we had there in one the bathroom smelt of dirty water and was not pleasant and the other are room was above the restaurant so it was quite loud.

I was tired in a dodge hotel and after 16 days on the road, mostly in local homes. Finally I got energy to walk around looking for a better place for my last day in La Paz. I found this place in a blog and it was love at first sight. Colonial, large rooms, private rooms. This is a charming...

Haven't got a bad word to say about this hostel. The owners are absolutely lovely! The room was great, spacious and clean. Towels were provided which was great. We used the laundry service and our clothes came back fab, smelled lovely! We also organised tours through the hotel which were great. Lovely breakfast. A brilliant hostel overall.

The Naira hits most of the buttons for a mid priced hotel. Spotlessly clean. Warm rooms with good space. Centrally located. Friendly and helpful staff. It's companion cafe is nothing special. Food is passable, as is hotel breakfast which is served there.

This is an excellent value for money hotel. Naira Hostal is equipped with nice, cosy and comfortable rooms. We stayed in 2 different rooms in two different occasions. Both rooms featured comfortable beds, heating, tv and internet. If you stop using the internet for a while, you have to log again. Other than that, it worked really well. The bathroom...

I would have given this hotel a 5* but here are the good and bad. Bad: Their internet is really bad. You have to sign on a different password every 24 hours. That is what they say but every time I turn off my gadget, I need another password. It should automatically save but no, you have to get another...

We decided to book a night at Naira after seeing it while walking down Sagarnaga street (the main tourist street in La Paz, close to the San Francisco church). The location was excellent and the price (62 USD/night for a double) was reasonable for La Paz. The hotel is quite lovely and includes some of the best wifi we had...
