I came here but it was beyond my budget but Ruben was so kind to give me recommendations on other hostels even though I wasn't a customer. Just looking at the place it was very well kept, clean, quiet and had great management.

The building is dated, the rooms are old, the sheets are stained (or dirty), the showers are a lukewarm dribble of dubious cleanliness. The kitchen is ok, the enclosed sundeck is a nice touch (although lazing atmosphere) and the location is pretty good (10 mins from the bus station, 5 to Loki's or Adventure Brew, La Paz's liveliest bars) although...

Arthy's is a very nice and quiet choice to stay in La Paz. Rooms are clean although a bit old. After a long day walking around La Paz you want to hang out at the rooftop patio. But the biggest pro for Arthy's is the staff. Everybody at this family run hostel speaks fluent English and is extremely helpful. If...

Arthys is the perfect hostel if you are looking for a quiet good night's sleep. Beds are really comfortable and the hostel feels safe and secure. Staff are super friendly and really helpful, on our arrival they showed us places to go, where to eat and where to avoid. We were given complimentary hot water bottles which was a highlight...

All the communal shower rooms and toliets are on the 1st floor which made it a bit inconvenient for us who stayed on the 2nd floor. The shower is hot but so weak that make it so painful and unbearable (especial during La Paz's freezing cold winter). The room itself is very basic and tiring, with floor cracking loudly when...

My friend and I stayed here twice and had an awesome time. Ruben and Rodrigo were both super responsive to all of our emails and helped us organise airport pick-ups, with Rodrigo coming to pick us up both times. Ruben is always on hand to answer any questions and give advice on the city! We had a twin room on...

Stayed here for a few nights in a private room. Location was good and staff were helpful with information and letting me leave my bag while I went to Copacabana. However, when I returned to pick up my bag, I stayed for a few hours while I was waiting for a night bus and they were a bit strange about...

We booked this place without realizing there is a crazy midnight curfew. Not much use to you in La Paz. If you want a party you need to stay in Loki hostel or Irish Rover we discovered. The guy was sound enough and only charged us for one night even though we'd booked for 3 nights when we told him...

We stayed at this hostel in a twin room on two occasions in May... We really liked Arthy's hostel as it is centrally located and the staff are super friendly. It is a bit hard to find Arthy's hostel. We walked from the bus terminal and it is a house with a yellow door to your left. There is no...

Location: quite central although note that the doors lock at 11pm so if you plan on going out, no one will be there to let you in. Facilities: Separate room with 6 showers and another room of toilets (major plus). Wifi was really bad. Overall: comfortable and clean rooms, towels and soap provided and staff helpful.
