We got a room fare away from the street, but you could still here it as well all the other guest. Due to the bad weather it was pretty cold inside and the hot shower was an on /off thing. Besides that: the Breakfast was tasty and big portions and the prearranged birthday cake tasted very good. A down was... More

Great location, friendly helpful staff, yummy breakfast, charming rooms and building. The water was hot and the price was really good in my opinion. Our room was in the center of the building, yet there was still a large window which looked into a garden - made it seem like you were outside with natural light. Would recommend staying here.

I stayed for 2 nights at Casa Platypus in a shared dorm with 2 other single beds. It was at the end of my stay in South America after travelling for nearly 4 months. So what really appealed to me was it was more like a guest house than a hostel and the beds were very comfortable with warm soft... More

We stayed in Casa Platypus for three nights at the end of our Colombia trip and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is cozy and homely, with rooms located around a central courtyard, a chillout area in reception and a cozy restaurant for breakfast and coffee. The rooms were cute, with a comfy bed with a duvet and a... More

This is a well located place in the heart of La Candelaria - tourist central of Bogota - opposite the square they start the (excellent and recommended) graffiti tour from. The staff on the front desk are very welcoming and friendly. The lobby is more functional than pretty but there is a lovely courtyard just inside. As far as I... More

The rooms are nice, and kept clean. My room had a window into the inside patio, so there was some noise from the common areas noe and again, but not too much or too loud. Was really happy with my stay, and the staff was super friendly and helpful if you needed anything.

I've spend 3 nights in this guesthouse in the historical centre of Bogota. The colonial interior is really beautifull and the rooms are really spacious and clean. The bathrooms are big and have great warm showers. The staff is really friendly and help you out with everything.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located right in the center of Bogota (Candeleria area) and near all the attractions: the gold museum, churches, the cable car and a lot of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they provide an excellent breakfast which is included in the... More

Nice place to stay in the heart of el Centro in Bogota's Candelaria district. While the area may cater more to the partier backpacker type, Casa Platypus provides a more chill atmosphere, which I appreciated being able to retreat a bit from the busy city center. The staff, Paloma, Ramon and Felipe are really great and really impressive as they... More
