In La Colina we felt like at home. Marta and Federico are the best hosts ever, open minded and with a lot of culture and histories to share. The breakfast was healthy and super complete. I do recomend people to atay in this place, specially if you like to have very good views of bogota! ;)

We had the pleasure to stay at this hotel with the Ruiz family. We love art and good food and this was the perfect spot. The hosts Marta and Federico are very helpful with every need one may have. We had the airport pick up which was great. The hotel is out of the hustle and bustle of Bogota but...

This is the place to stay. If you don't want to mess with all the traffic in Bogota and are looking for some peace and quiet. Federico is happy to set up and tours of the area you can imagine. This is perhaps the best bogota experience.

Marta was the best. She listened to all of my friend's and my desires for local Colombian food that we were craving and made sure our stay was everything we wanted and more. Without a doubt, I will always stay at La Colina while in Bogota if I have a say in the matter.

The service is second to none. It's very personalized. They treat you like family. Home cooked meals with beer, wine, and fresh juice. private rooms with bathroom. Quiet stay with a nice view of the city and mountains from las colinas de Suba. You are treated like family when you visit and they go out of their way to make...

I want to give extra special mention to La Colina, the little cottage I stayed at during my Bogotá visit. It's owned and operated by Martha and her son Frederico and nestled in the hills a little out of the Bogotá city hustle and bustle (so the views are amazing!) There is not an inch of this place that hasn't...

Federico and marta are warm and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable. They recommended places to visit. the food was fresh and delicious everyday. it is a quiet out of the way spot and wel worth it if you don't mind being a few extra miles away from el centro.

My first trip to Bogota was a roaring success - and I owe a great deal of it to Federico and Marta for their unparalleled level of hospitality. We had plans in the northern area of Bogota, 30 minutes from downtown; and judging by their website, I had a good feeling that La Colina would be an ideal spot to...

I went to Bogota on a whim. Was having a bad day at work and saw a good price on a ticket, so bought it. I stayed at La Colina Hotel for the three nights I was there last week, and I couldn't have been happier. Federico and Martha are fantastic. When I got there, the car rental had no...

We stayed one night at this beautiful B&B. Don't be fooled by the exterior appearance (from the alley), once inside the gated entrance, you are surrounded by art and a beautiful atmosphere. The owners are so friendly and provide wonderful conversation. The room was clean, fresh flowers, hot water. The food was AMAZING! All for a reasonable price. If we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
About Us: LA COLINA Hotel Cottage is an eco-sustainable boutique located in a set of country houses, probably the only one of its kind in the northwest of Bogota. Tucked amid the forest reserve of "Hills of Suba". Five double rooms where space is dominated by a remarkable decoration characterized by works of art, painting and sculpture. Each room has a beautiful view towards gardens or private patios; the stone floor of black slate from the Andeans mountains is beautiful and preserves encrusted animal fossils. The beds have anti-allergic blankets or down comforters and 400 thread count sheets of white cotton providing a soft, quiet rest and intimate welcoming atmosphere. Our Commitment: We are a boutique hotel committed to the environment, which offers a unique experience where accommodation is just an excuse to wake up embraced by the colour, the beauty and pleasure of aesthetics; these, framed by art, nature, good food and a warm service. ... more   less
