The wait staff were extremely nice. The hotel itself is in a great location for exploring historic Bogota, is safe and has an internet cafe next door. Good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was included in the price we paid. However, we were charged extra to have a second cup of coffee at breakfast! I think the coffee was instant. One night...

According to their comments, I ask a thousand pardons if it caused discomfort to deliver your mail to another hotel guest. Our American guest had asked your email to me before but I do not hand him over. When you returning from Cartagena and claim me the bill why we had charged VAT, I personally explain that VAT is included...

I stayed at this hotel based a review in Lonely Planet and I must say it was bulls-eye. The hotel looked good from the get-go, the Italian owner and his wife they came to pick me up at the airport and we had a fun conversation about Bogota on the way to the historic Candelaria district where the hotel is...

The hotel is very well located (in the historical part of Bogotá). The rooms are charming and very confortable (although the heater is not always enough). It has a very good restaurant too. The staff is great, always helping with good hints. Just don't take the room called "Rosa": it's noisy.

We loved the colonial architecture...you know you are in South America....The hotel's 3 inner courtyards make for a very quite and restful stay. We had a nice big room (La Orquedia {orchid, in spanish}- the rooms are named for flowers) that opened on to an interior courtyard with a koi pond. The staff was wonderful, Angelica at the front desk...

The positive reviews are right on the money -- this place is a dream come true. First, a word or two about Bogota. It is safe and it is very much worth seeing. As for where to stay, sleep in La Candelaria, the old part of the City. Trust me. I'm a product of the Midwest who worries just as...

This hotel is owned by an Italian who has fixed it up well and maintains it with charm and homey-ness. It is not a luxury hotel, and is not meant to be that. It is a great place to go if you want a good location in Candelaria, an old-time feel, and good personal service. I really like this place.

Location is lovely, but the service was magnificent for a small hotel. One of our party was ill. The restaurant was closed for New Year's Eve, but the receptionist made chicken soup for him so that he could remain in bed. The small staff helped with every matter, including making flight reservations for an unexpected return to the United States....

This is a wonderful hotel. I read through the other reviews on this site and I do not understand the reviews of the staff - they were incredibly helpful, kind, friendly and considerate. The hotel is conveniently located on a charming colonial street with the Botero Museum, the Cathedral and Plaza Bolivar just steps away. The rooms all come with...

I stayed for five nights, was a polite "good" guest (I think), but upon checking out ,the girl at the desk ran my credit card, handed me the receipt and never even made eye contact, and did not ask if I enjoyed my stay or say good-bye. Extremely rude, especially for a guest of five nights. To top it off,...
