The hotel is well located, close to the Zona T, good shopping centers and restaurants. The building, along with its decoration shows its age. It is a good option if there are no other choices, however it will not be something to remember. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, but everything is average and considering the rest of...

Been to this hotel several times during 2009-2010. Overall it is a good place. Small, clean and secure. Service is good. It is possible for a small charge to leave your luggage in their storage room. Area is not safe at dark, but very central at day. A little overpriced, I think.

Like many hotels I've stayed in, the pictures on their site are a bit enhanced and make the rooms look a lot newer and larger than they are. That said, the hotel gives the appearance of being a boutique hotel. The lobby is very minimalist. The rooms are adequate but the furniture rather cheap looking. All rooms have flat screen...

Although the hotel doesn't look very promising from the outside, once you step in you feel it's well-run, safe and clean. This is the more important, because it's located in an area which is very convenient for visting Bogotá's most important tourist sites, but a little tacky in the daytime and deserted at night. The rooms are small but comfortable;...

After staying at two other hotels in the Candeleria area, a cab driver recommended this hotel. Compared to my previous hotel, there was twice the amount of space for a few dollars more. Rooms have in-room safes, 27 inch flat screen TV's. It is on a quiet street that is deserted at night. It's three blocks from the Candelaria zone...

I stayed first in March and then in April, for a short stay each time ( 2 and then 1 night ) For one of the cheapest hotel in Bogotá, and with a great location ( a couple of blocks from the gold museum and a block away from the main street with shops and restaurants ) i would say...

It is simple, but has was is needed to someone that will spend its time discovering this nice city. As most of the hotels and hostels in the central area, at night time you may prefer...

Stayed here for a few nights to explore Bogota, the location close to the Museo del Oro and the Candelaria was excellent, although it does feel a bit dodgy at night and we were a bit concerned about going out. The front desk were friendly and helpful, the wireless internet worked, and the breakfast was pretty good. Lots of Colombian...

My partner and I stayed here for five days in August 09. The hotel is quite brilliant value - for the price, the rooms are clean, with nice bathrooms and lots of towels, hot water, nice rugs, safety boxes and a bit of character. There are really nice sitting areas on each level with WiFi, and some rooms are in...

Hotel El Virrey is a nice, well priced hotel in the safe Candelaria area of Bogota. The staff is wiling to help a lot, which is nice. The rooms are small but clean. The only downside to the stay is that they are doing reconstruction, and it begins early with the hammering. (Couldn´t they do that during the middle of...
