We had some problems with paying in advance and our credit card, but at the end it was possible to pay at our arrival and everything was fine. Since we were staying for more than 3 nights there was a free transfer from the airport included, very handy! We had a private room for 4 people, it was small but...

Central to the old town, museums, transmileneo, mons cerrat; safe, clean but quite pricey and more conservative Rooms are ok, some are loud because windows are facing to the atrium where people sit and breakfast (included) The owner is english speaking and very caring, while one of the night guards was always unfriendly and not helpful. You are allowed to...

Helpful staff, nice room, warm(ish) shower, extremely comfortable bed. I arrived 5/6 hours earlier than the time I had told the hostel so the room wasn't ready but they sent someone up to clean it straight away. They kindly let me leave my rucksack in their office while I wandered into downtown Bogota for a couple of hours so they...

For me "La Candelaria" is a perfect located hostel for tourist-like people: close to historical centre, museo de ouro, teleferico de Monserrate... I spend altogether four nights there. The rooms I occupied had basic equipment, were clean, the shared bathrooms were maintained very clean also. I appreciated free wifi and breakfasts: toasts-margarine-jam-coffee-banana. The staff was nice and helpful. I was...

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. Clean as a whistle, extremely quiet, and close to restaurants (including Sant Just, a superb French place), nightlife, city centre. Very friendly staff too! Only thing to note is to not turn shower on all the way, otherwise it won't get hot. If it's on just a bit, it's very hot.

It's not the most amazing, classy hostel ever - but it's a reasonably quiet and tidy one - right in the centre of La Candelaria. The staff were tremendously helpful - especially a Colombian woman and a Swiss/German girl - as I had passport/visa problems.

The room and in the inside are nicely decorated and VERY CLEAN. And you feel safe, knowing you are surrounded by a pretty bad neighborhood It does not have the trashy backpacker style of some places... It is more business like The bedding is a little bit cheap...but ok Some doors showed they were forced the entry and one of...

This was my first stop in Bogota and I felt very safe. The rooms, bathrooms and common areas were very clean and comfy. I reserved a private room that listed a double bed in the photos and description so I was surprised that I was placed in a room with bunk beds. However, I had the whole room to myself...

Very clean, pleasant place. Staff was extraordinarily helpful. Location good, not far from historic sites. There's a good vibe with the guests, but it isn't like a backpackers' dorm. Street feels desolate at night, but I had no bad experiences.

I stayed here for just over a month in June/July 2012 while I studied Spanish at a nearby school. I absolutely loved it! It's clean, comfortable, safe and provides really friendly service. It's not a party hostel, in fact I'm not sure I'd call it a hostel at all as there are only private rooms, no dorm rooms. But if...

“The mattresses in some rooms are better than others. For some rooms, you use a bathroom across a small courtyard. In my experience, that bathroom was private, that is, not shared.”
