Room nº 11, double bed, sigle use. Price: 4500 guyana $ (20 €). Upstairs from jerry's bar & Restaurant, that guaratees a litte bit noisy night. I was the only customer at the first floor of the hotel so I was pretty quiet. The hotel is not bad and is a 10 minute walk from downtown.

I honestly confess that, after spending three nights in this hotel, I am still in doubt which is its vocation. Our first impression is that it is a brothel, owing to its aspects and the kind of clients attending the place. The secretary explained its dynamic, assuring me that it was a family place. Its location is its main attraction,...

The rooms were clean, but incredibly hot! I mean Georgetown is hot so this is why but the rooms on the third for (which are the cheap ones) are like ovens and need to be sure out before you can sleep in them. Other than that, the shared bathrooms are fine the staff is friendly and the rates are reasonable....

I stayed here 2 nights and don't have any real complaints. One night was a little noise but I did read the reviews before I arrived so that is my problem. The noise seemed to be from parked cars playing loud music and not from the bar itself. But I was there on a Sunday and Monday night. The room...

We stayed at the hostel for 3 nights this month and really couldn't have asked for better. The room was a fair size with a fan but also had 3 windows which we could open to catch the breeze. 2 nights were quiet and we slept very well but the Friday was karaoke night, which was great to listen to...

I will start this off by saying, you get what you pay for! Jerries "New Tropicana Hotel" was exactly what I was looking for. No, there was no A/C, there was no fancy restaurant attached, there was no pool, and no gym. But that's not what I was going to Guyana for...if I wanted that, I would go to the...

When we looked at this place here before we went we noticed one thing it is listed as a Backpackers hotel. This told us that it wouldn't be like the Ritz, but it was cheap and that was what we needed. When we arrived the owner, Jerry, had a guy waiting for us. We had to pay for him, which...

I found the Tropicana to be a quirky kind of place, but I liked it. I asked for a 'quiet' room and got one up on the second floor. I didn't have any problems with the noise and slept quite soundly. They have mosquito nets, but with the fan going in the room, the mosquitoes weren't a problem. I liked...

This is a good place for travelers to stay. It's cheap and located in a good and central part of Georgetown. The hotel is located above Jerries, a popular late night hot spot (you have to go to Jerries if you're in Georgetown..). The bar is open late, all night I think, and if you end up getting a room...
