Not a bad place to stay in GT. Clean, secure, good nightly rates. Good variety for the breakfast menu. Check in was a little slow but that might just be as a result of the internet service. Would stay here again.

My husband and myself stayed here. Thé hotel is clean and near to shopping areas as well as the market. The price is affordable. The staff is kind and helpful. You have a wide choice at breakfast. There was one incident which I did not appreciate I invited my little nieces to swim in the pool and there was pieces of broken glasses at the bottom of the pool. I made a complaint and it was dealt with immediately. I commend this hotel.

My parents, daughter, husband and I Stayed at sleep inn from March 8-18 2014. The location was central and convenient to our relatives on the West coast. The staff were great and made efforts to keep the place clean and they made all efforts to serve you better. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. My daughter loved swimming every morning. I would stay at Sleep inn again. It is great value as the room rates are reasonable and some have kitchenettes. There are two things I would recommend to improve the hotel 1) buzzers to the rooms as this would prevent taxis and people from knocking on the doors and disturbing other guests 2) signs requesting swimmers shower before entering the pool - we notice many did not shower before swimming. Overall we had a great stay at Sleep inn

The Pillows and bed are harder than a rock. The hotel room is not stocked properly with shampoo, conditioner soap, and the proper amount of towels and wash cloths. We had to call twice for fresh towels and toilet paper, but after two hours of waiting we gave up. Customer service is nonexistent. The front desk is horrible and act vexxed all the time. The pool is closed and has been for over a month. It’s clear the owner does not care about this hotel only about how much money he can make and this is one thing that is going to prevent Guyana from achieving greatness.
If you don’t work for Exxon mobil you’ll get treated like a second-class citizen

I just returned from Guyana after twenty years. What a beautiful country and beautiful people. My holiday was great except for the issues i had with the Sleep Inn Hotel. Please note that this is a warning and information for anyone considering to make accommodate at this hotel. In October 2009 i began to plan a Easter family vacation to Guyana. The Sleep Inn Hotel was high recommended as the place to stay. With this in mind i did not consider any other hotels. My only concern at this time was there was no pool available but they were in the process of trying to have one completed for Easter. In December 2009 i proceeded to call and make reservations for my family and other family members. We were able to receive the rooms that we requested. In February 2010 i called to reconfirm my rooms and check in on the completion of the pool. The rooms were reserved but the pool was not going to be ready. I was okay with that and began to look forward to my up coming vacation. In March 2010 i called once again to reconfirm and also to cancel two rooms that i no longer required.. Everything was great. April 1 2010 at 5:00 pm the day i am scheduled to leave, three hours before i check in at the airport and seven hours before i board the plane i received a devestating call from the sleep inn hotel. They were calling to inform me that they could not accomadate my family. I couldn't beleive that after all these months they were informing me a couple hours before i left the country we had no acommadations. I was furious but their explanation was basically first come first served. Something important but never mentioned during the several conversations with staff at the sleep inn. Anyways they recommended another hotel in which i now recommend(thanks sleep inn) the regency hotel. We were not able to get the kind of rooms we wanted, it cost us a little more but we had fantastic ,accomadating and professional customer service which at the end of the day makes a great business. April 3 2010 i was able to meet and speak with the owner himself Mr Baccus. I informed him about what had happened. He was apologetic and sympathetic. He assured me that he would get back to me in two days and would also compensate at least a day at the Regency Hotel. I was content with that and able to accept his offer. Well two days came and i did not hear from Mr Baccus. I went back to the Sleep Inn, i left messages, i called and not once did the owner Mr Baccus or his unprofessional staff has returned my call regarding this matter. I do not recommed anyone to make reservations with this hotel. I am not the only one whose accomadtions were disarranged with this hotel. I just want people to know how unprofessional Mr Baccus and his staff administrate the Sleep Inn. Definitely not recommended. Oh by the way the pool is nowhere to be completed. They are expanding the hotel so the pool is being used as the scrap bin. Check out the Regency Hotel i was not dissappointed and you won't be either. Thanks for messing up Sleep Inn.

I had the opportunity of staying here in May 2014. I ended up at Sleepinn After a disastrous stay at "status international". I must say Sleepin rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is great. Staff was helpful. It's centrally located and very convenient for easy access to Stabroek market, regent street etc. I highly recommend this hotel and the prices are good for such great service.

I stayed at the Sleepin Hotel duirng the monthe of February 2014. This was the third time that I have stayed at this hotel. I must say that they are trying and that the service has improved since my last visit in 2012. However, there is still lots of room for improvements - my main concern was about the ordering of food. A breakfast is served by the Hotel but my husband who have been advised by his Doctor that he should consume very little salt, was unable to eat the breakfast that is served by the hotel. I therefore tried to order a breakfast from the kitchen which I was paying for, and I was told that I could not do this (the kitchen was open ) and that I could go around the corner to the littlecafe up the street. Added to this, the cleaners have to clean the room at a specific time, e.g 9.00am (they start at one end and work their way down to the other end). if you are not an early riser then the room will not be cleaned. Despite these little hiccups we had a great time and enjoyed the sun shine immensely. One last comment, The Front Counter Staff have to finish their private conversation (on the phone) while you wait on them to provide service - sad to say but they do need to be trained to provide better Customer Service.

I booked a room with Sleepinn International in October 2015 for a stay in May 2016 as I knew that the hotel rooms in Guyana would be limited for the 50th Independence celebration. I have emailed twice to confirm and called twice as well over the past 5 months and was assured that my room was reserved. The manager called me yesterday to tell me the reservation was cancelled without an alternate place to stay. I know multiple people who had their rooms cancelled as well. The manager stated that they overbooked the rooms thinking that their sister property would have been finished in time but it would not be. Sleepinn obviously does not have a clue about the predicament they have put us in by their lack of good judgment. The manager's attitude was "it is what it is, you deal with it". I am beyond upset and advise anyone else who has upcoming reservations with this hotel in the future to start praying that they have shelter when they get down there..........

My husband, my son, my mother in law and I just came back from 8 days at this hotel. This was the first time that my son and I have ever been to Guyana. We stayed in a one bedroom apt on the 3rd floor while my mother in law had a studio apt on the first floor. The rooms were beautiful and more than adequate. They were kept neat and very clean. The staff was very pleasant and professional. I especially loved the ladies in housekeeping. On the day that we decided to sleep in (no pun intended) they offered us clean towels without me asking. The hotel is close to the markets but not too close. The balcony overlooking the pool, with a view of the street, was an excellent place to relax with a book. The hotel has WIFI and cable television and 2 computers in the lobby so you can stay connected without packing all of your own stuff. The WIFI was a bit spotty in the some sections of our room but only about 5% of the time. The food on the premises was good. The menu had a good variety. It was nice to know that if I didn't have to go out if I didn't want to. The pool side bar was an excellent place for us to entertain the family that visited us. I loved the fact that there was a 24 hour coffee / tea station in the lobby area. We even got to see someone get married here. I thought the hotel was beautiful before but it was stunning for the wedding. We weren't wedding guest but we viewed it from our balcony. My only complaint about this hotel was with the laundry service. My husband got his cloths done earlier in the week and they did an excellent job. I however did not have the same experience. I sent 3 items to the laundry- 2 light colored pants and my son's blue polo shirt. There was a delay in getting the clothes back I assumed it was due to the wedding activities. When they were returned they were neatly folded but when I unfolded my sons shirt that he was going to be traveling home in it had been ruined by bleach. Thankfully I had backup. I know that mistakes happen but it really bugged me that the shirt was folded so that I would not see the damage. When my husband questioned the staff they claimed that I sent the shirt in that way. Really? REALLY ?!?! Would I send a bleach damaged shirt to be cleaned? All I can do is shake my head. I would recommend hotel to anyone looking for a clean peaceful place to stay. We had a wonderful time but beware of the laundry service.

On March 1, 2018, we arrived at the Georgetown, Guyana airport. A Dagron Tours driver was waiting for us at the airport. The driver took us from the airport to the Sleepin Hotel and dropped us off. Dagron We checked ourselves in.

The tour started on March 2nd. We arrive one day in advance, so we paid Dagron $70 for the additional hotel night (March 1) at the Sleepin.

The Sleepin Hotel is in very poor condition. When we checked in at the Hotel, we were given Room #47. I went in with my husband. The room was tiny. It was hard for both my husband and me to walk in the room at the same time. The room had no place to set our two small pieces of luggage. The room air conditioning did not work. The bathroom smelled like sewer. The towels and sheets appeared worn and dirty.

I searched the internet for the price of this Hotel. The room on the photo for $70 was big and beautiful.

I went to the front desk and asked how much Dagron paid the hotel one night? The front desk immediately called Dagron.

From the front desk telephone, I spoke with Althea of Dagron Tours. Althea arrived in 15 minutes.
Althea spoke with the front desk at Sleepin. We moved a slightly larger room #58. The hotel's facilities are old. We stayed one night; the room was noisy and uncomfortable.

On March 2, I called Althea. Althea transferred us to another hotel, the Sleepin Hotel & Casino. The Sleepin Hotel & Casino is new and well equipped.

My husband and I very appreciate Althea. Althea had to deal with hotel. We felt so sorry for her. Althea did a fine job.

But I don’t understand why Dagron Tours’ provided to guests such a poor hotel on the first day. The first impression was super bad!
