If you have booked this accomodation you shoul know what to get. Opensided bungalows - two of them stilted above the lagoon. You should also know that half of the day the tide water is out and makes the sea walkable not swimable. There might also be geckos - that is good they eat the insects not human beings.¨ We...

I recently led a study tour to Kiribati. We used Tabaroi Travel to make all our on ground arrangements. Many people told us how poor accommodation was on Tarawa and how we would get sick eating food and drinkng the water. To my delight and relief our stay at Tabon te Keekee was perfect. The traditional accommodation was so comfortable....

If you are willing to cross the Chanel between islands (either wading at low tide or canoe at high tide) this is a great place for lunch. It's accommodation looked simple but very comfortable. And the views are second to none. Thoroughly recommend making the extra effort to get there, even it involves getting your feet wet!

After a trip from the bustling south on the local bus to Tanaea and a nice stroll through Buota, we caught the locally run ferry across to Tabon te Keekee. As a big group, we always take the picnic table and grab a hammock each to first recover from the journey. The staff were friendly and the food were delicious...

Don't hesitate to stay here. Simple clean accommodation with excellent food and a beautiful setting. The water is tidal however swimming is great at high tide. Lots of simple walks and boating activities at hand. Quiet and peaceful safe setting. This is not a high end resort but rather beautiful small family run accommodation.

My family spent 2 weekends at Tabon Te Keekee during a short working trip. After the often overwhelming experience of Sourth Tarawa this was a small delightful oasis of relaxing calm. The accommodation was in buias built from coconut and pandanus with individual mosquito nets. The over water buias were worth the extra money for the amazing breeze and the...

My friends and I spent a weekend at Tabon te KeiKei during Independence holidays. It was a great experience to stay one night on the over water Buia. The hospitality and service they provide is excellent. If you want to drink coconut anytime, they just get for you from the tree. Dinner and breakfast are awesome, too. It's definitely a...

One of the most exciting and beautiful places and hotels I have ever been to. Rooms over the water in bungalows over the water are very basic, no toilets, no water- you have to go to shared bathrooms on the land, but hospitality and service they provide is excellent. Delicious dinners and sumptous breakfasts, tea and coffee. During the day...

Don't expect from this place to be a boutique hotel or to have any real hotel processes, but the crew is friendly and helpful. It's probably the best and the only way to get "resort-style" accommodation in Kiribati. Over-lagoon bungalows are nice way to stay in warm Kiribati days and nights, although (it's obvious) all facilities are located on solid...

What a great place to stay - after driving to the end of the road I waded across the inlet or when the tide was in spent 50c on a canoe trip! The hut was overwater and traditional - sleeping under a mosquito net with the breeze blowing through the hut - what could be better! Very peaceful and still...
