As everyone says, this is the only hostel in town - a great location on the hill overlooking the city and port. We took a double room. This is a very good hostel. Superb kitchen indeed with amazing fridge. There are plenty of cardboard games and a table tennis. The rooms have only the strict minimum needed: bed, outdoor chair and bare shelves. The bathroom and showers are clean and with hot water. The location is good with a nice view however the stairs to go uphill...

The only hostel in town, it has everything you need, including a huge kitchen and spaces for each guest in the fridge. I stayed in a double room for 3900xpf per night. The room is spartan but clean. Toilets are clean as well. There's quite alot of people staying at the hostel but it's quiet. I stayed in one of the double rooms of the Auberge de Jeuness (YHA) Noumea. Simple spartan room, (two beds shelf/wardrobe, fan) offered adequate accommodation and when you consider the price, under $70NZ per night for the room it would be hard to beat in Noumea.
