Not posh by any stretch of the imagination, but as budget rooms go very tidy, comfortable beds and staff are quite good. Best attribute by far is its location and affordability in the heart of Port Vila.

This is not a high end hotel but if you are looking for a clean room, comfy bed, welcoming staff, kitchen facilities and great value then this is the place to go. This place is fantastic value - one night in a spotless private room costs less than a main course on many menus in town. Will be back to...

Well located in the center of port vila. They have a good wifi and a kirchen free to use. The price for a bed in the dorm wad 1800 vatu. The place was clean and the staff very friendly. A good place to stay for a start in Vanuatu. The local market and a super market is just on the...

We stayed here for a week during our recent trip to Vanuatu. The rooms are average: large bed, fan, tiny TV (we never used as it was such poor reception), bathroom with toiletries. The decor was dated and we found the side lamp didn't work (nor was it fixed when we asked) and the piping in the bathroom gurgled away...

I emailed ahead that I would be arriving very late & I was assured that reception would be open, but no one was there. I had to ring the bell many times to get someone. Surprised also that there wasn't a better way to lock the door to the room. WiFi did not work in the room.

I stayed in an 8 bedroom dorm. Comfortable beds, fresh towels on request, usually warm water showers, dorm cleaned daily, aussie powerpoints, free wifi (although not always available). Great value for money and in the heart of the town - shops, supermarket, restaurants and market all within walking distance. Besides, the helpful service and value for money what made this...

This is a budget motel which has seen better days. The rooms a clean but paint is blistering off the walls and the sliding doors to the mini-bathrooms require a wrestling patch to open and close. That said the airconditioning works (when they can find the control for it) and the water pressure is good. The location is great for...

Don't be fooled by the picture, it's of the markets across from the City Lodge. However, despite the dowdy exterior of the actual City Lodge, the accommodation is clean, safe, and the best value for money that I could find. It is located right in the centre of town so everything you need is in easy walking distance. The beds...

I travel extensively throughout the Pacific, and this is a very inexpensive hostel option. But be prepared for some realities of saving your money. The pros: -great location right across from fruit/veg market, and cheap lunches -free internet in common room when it's working -dishes in common room -cheap -all private rooms -TV in room (with 3 channels) -close to...

The start of this unpleasant experience was the staff who don't make eye contact or acknowledge you're there. This makes checking in difficult. We were then placed in a room we hadnt booked, with two singles instead of a double, the toilet wouldn't flush (which they were able to fix), ants had taken over the bathroom wall, to use the...
