We had (2) two days in Vanuatu - due to weather conditions that our ship was not able to proceed to Fiji. It was delightful - spending (2) two after-noons around the pool area of the Hoilday Inn Resort. We took the free of charge boat across to the location of the Hoilday Inn Resort - Tassiriki Park - Port Vila, paid our daily rate of entry - and just "chilled" out - around the swimming pool. Facilities are such - you make your time of a drink or food - without all the "bells and whistles" or formalities that at times strees you out - rather than allowing you to chill out - do your own relaxing thing. We had just been not long back from (6) six weeks trip to Europe and took the 10 day cruise to somewhat relax - after the 6 weeks in Europe - 9 countries - which does not really give you time to "smell the roses" even though we went solo to Europe - no group thing, but you still because of the time - on the go - not really having time to relax. Staff absolutly adorable and great teaches of the "worth" of a beautiful smile - at the Hoilday Inn Resort. Understand how they have an International reputation as the - Happiest People in the World. We principally - Australians by birth - reside in Europe - but this was a memorable life-time experience which if the opportunity permits for whoever - Try it - you will certainly not be Disappointed.

Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was beautiful. We stayed in am Overwater villa, incredible location, beautiful resort on this part of the island. Highly recommended, would stay here again. Food and drinks can be pricey however this is really to be expected at a resort.

We have traveled to Vanuatu 16 times over the past 12 years. We have stayed most of those times at the Holiday inn. William always greets us and the staff all recognise us when we arrive. Yes the staff are probably told to smile at everyone and be really nice , however, it does not matter what part of Vanuatu you visit ,you will be greeted with wide smiles and happy faces. There are few places in the world where it's possable to see untouched nature at its best. The Vanuatu people are very proud of their country and love to show it to the tourists. The only sad things l have seen in Vanuatu are tourists being rude to locals, this is very sad to see. On our first visit to the Holiday inn, 12 years ago, my boys met a local boy who was working at the Holiday inn and going to school, and we have kept in touch, he has even come to Australia and stayed with us. One visit he took us to the remote island of Ambrym where he is from and we stayed in his village with his family. We were made so welcome and they looked after us so well , they even built us a hut to stay inn. They took us to the top of a mountain and we were told that no white people had ever been there , the most awesome experience for my family. I can recommend the Holiday inn as probably the best place to stay in Vanuatu depending on your budget. It's close to everything as so nice to return to after a full day of waterfalls , blue Lagoons ,chocolate and coffee factories, and my favourite, hideaway island. So much to do or just relax at the resort and rest. I cant wait for covid to be over, we will be on the first plane from Australian going back to paridise. Please book a holiday and support the locals, you will love it.

Beautiful location on the bay. Recommend kayaking up the bay to Erakor Island and the other resorts for lunch and coffee, as well as sailing and happy hour by the pool. The Holiday Inns rooms and restaurant are dated but you are never really there. The hotel is expensive for what it is but this is pretty standard for Vanuatu.

Very good Holiday Inn, probably one of the best we have been to. Excellent benefits for Spire members, upgraded either to Bungalows or Suite. The bungalow are on the other side of the lagoon, about 40sqm. Very quiet during the day, as no other guest can disturb you directly. Shuttle is very efficient to bring back and forth to the reception whenever needed. The 10 minutes walk is even better, with beautiful grounds and the magic view of the lagoon. The king suite is also very private and fairly huge, about 60 sqm with a separate living room. Also a big balcony overlooking the golf. Very quiet as well. Easy access to the golf and all facilities of the hotel. Breakfast is good, at 3000 Vatu. For the restaurant, we had dinner several times as well as room service. Every time, we have been satisfied by the quality of the food and presentation. The waiting time was always very decent. Price wise, it is very comparable to other restaurants in the city. It feels the hotel is really well managed. The hotel organize every two days a special night (fire show, local dances, movie night...) and bring excellent live bands at the bar of the reception and at the main pool on Sunday. Hotel provides lots of free activities, such as golf, tennis, kayak, catamaran, fish feeding, kava testing and yoga once a week. Lastly, the staff is absolutely lovely, smiling and kind, from the restaurant to the pool team, housekeeping, gardeners, reception and managers. Highly recommend this property.
