By far the most relaxing holiday we've ever had.
Just a short ferry rid to our own little island getaway, but only a 5 mins drive into Vila.
The rooms are clean fresh and we'll presented. The island facilities don't match that of a large...More
We just went here for a day trip. Had a great time. It is close to Port Vila & most hotels and only a short ferry ride over. If you go over for the day, remember to organise transport for the way home as taxis...More
I visited Erakor Island whilst in Vila on a cruise with my sister she had previously stayed at the resort in the past and recommended we go there for the day. We caught a taxi to the wharf where we paid 1000vatu each for a...More

We did not find the food overly expensive at all. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay - they have all the usual continental breakfast items including amazing pastries. There is also a cooked breakfast menu (eggs, pancakes etc) at no extra charge and it is fantastic. Other meals were probably similar to what you would pay in Australia but it was without a doubt some of the best food we have ever had. Fresh, fresh, fresh and plentiful. Excellent beef and fish and the fruit is gorgeous. If you don’t want to eat in the restaurant, staff happily bring meals and drinks to your villa.
We are not big drinkers and only had the occasional drink/cocktail which again, was on par with Australian prices. We had a family of two adults and two kids stay for a week and our total food/drink bill (eating every day at the resort)worked out to about $500.
There is a 24 hour boat back to the mainland (5 minute trip) and you can get a taxi or bus into town (5-10 mins). You can easily drop into the local supermarket (called Bon Marche) to buy drinks and snacks etc. There is an ATM and they take eftpos. I didn’t buy a great deal but the supermarket is well stocked with anything you could possibly want or need. My husband is a smoker and cigarettes are also very cheap...that was the only thing we did find expensive at the resort.
Port Villa also has a large number of restaurants but we didn’t try these during our stay...next time.
